Data © OzTAM Pty Limited 2021. The Data may not be reproduced, published or communicated (electronically or in hard copy) in whole or in part, without the prior written consent of OzTAM. “Overnight” figures include “Live” (programs broadcast during the 2am-2am broadcast day) and “As Live” (programs recorded and then watched within the same broadcast day). “Consolidated” figures include Live, As Live and “Time Shift” (programs recorded and then watched within seven days of the initial broadcast).

A big win for Seven with its best Tuesday share of 2021. Second-place Nine slipped to its lowest Tuesday share of the 2021 survey while for 10 it was its second-best after the MasterChef final of the previous week. Meanwhile ABC was steady and SBS dropped 1.

Seven won all markets, Nine finished third in Melbourne and Perth. 10 was an easy winner in all key demo groups.

Farmer Wants A Wife was ahead at 7.30 with its best result since the launch episode. Second-place Survivor stayed over 700k with third placed Beauty and the Geek falling behind the competition.

The big winner for Seven was a 2021 high audience for Home and Away, up 100,000 on its usual Tuesday audience. Later, the debut of The Cheap Seats did well for 10 to win the post-reality time slot in total people. In 25-54 it ranked 8th and was ahead of Farmer Wants A Wife. In 16-39 it ranked second.

This must be one of the highest-watching days in recent memory? Over 1.2m for news is incredible.

Huge news numbers, and crazy levels of high numbers for Home and Away!

The Farmer Wants a Wife was the reality show of choice in Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.

That is a surprisingly high result for Home and Away.

The Cheap Seats rated very well with only one week’s promotion. Hope 10 gives it a good opportunity to grow.

Also LMAO at 10 News First Adelaide. On the biggest news day this year when Seven/Nine/ABC are hitting record ratings they’re rating a pithy 29K. Perhaos the wrong V/O turned lots of people off

Both Seven News and Nine News hit 2021 highs in Adelaide, as South Australia fell into a new 7-day lockdown.

Good start for The Cheap Seats.

Survivor coming third in Brisbane is disappointing. Support the QLD brand!

These centralized news services are a disaster except for Perth.

Even in Sydney and Brisbane… the quality of the local news is limited and it’s not authentic. Adelaide is a travesty.

They need to go back to the old formats and studios

Highest ratings for Neighbours this year.

That’s what happens when half the country is in lockdown.

For Seven it was a high for the year, but all other bulletins were lower than Monday.

Worth noting that in the 16-39 age group more people watched The Cheap Seats than any news bulletin. While The Project 7pm was more popular than Nine News 6.30 and Seven News 6pm and 6.30.

Great start for Cheap Seats, I’m sure 10 & Working Dog will be encouraged by a good start. Good to see new shows received well and people tuning in, good time to be launching too with the lockdowns also.

Solid figure for Neighbours, can’t remember the last time I saw it over 150k and it topped all the demos too.

10 Shake still struggling however, the refreshed nightly line-up of The Office / The Middle hasn’t done much to confidently grow the channel.

The Office was shown relentlessly on ABC Comedy until the channel was replaced. How many times can people watch the same things over and over?

Why is this important? Seems this is an unnecessary stat just to add dot points.

Most reality shows this year have rated significantly lower than last year. Survivor is an exception.

I’m not criticising the figures, I think the show is doing really well. It’s just ‘biggest ep 3 audience’ is pretty pointless to me.

When Jane Bunn first came to Ch7 Melbourne she’d give stats like ‘the coldest 13th July on record’ and I always found it odd. The ‘coldest July day on record’ would be interesting, but not a day by day breakdown.

Can’t see the show returning next year.

I find it revealing. Shows follow a certain trajectory and so far Episode 2 and 3 have been the highest rated ever for the franchise on 10.

10 News has lost the trust of the Adelaide market… I don’t think they’ll ever regain it. IF they were to ever bring back the local news model, 10 would be better to do local weekend 5pm news in Adelaide and capitalise on the point of difference there, not during the week.
