Narrow network win for Seven with Seven News dominating the 6pm timeslot and late night share from a premiere movie. The Block was steady on Nine while 10’s Survivor lifts again to its highest audience since launch beating The Block in all three demos. Nine again won the three east coast markets and Seven won Adelaide and Perth. Brisbane was Nine’s best market and Adelaide Seven’s. Seachange seems to have settled around the 550k mark - in the demos: 10th in 25-54 winning its timeslot.

Survivor also lifted 10’s primary share by 1.2% from last Tuesday. It was the most-watched entertainment program in Melbourne and Perth.
This time next week could see the show back above 800,000.

Seven had a rare win in the 25-54 and 18-49 demos last night. 10 again won 16-39. Seven’s main channel won 25-54 and 10’s the other two.

Nine’s Kath and Kim special was 28th. NCIS on 10 30th.

Sunrise ranked 22nd and Bold and The Beautiful 25th.

Very impressive demos for 10’s Survivor. Something about this version of the format has viewers engaged. Obviously game play hasn’t been as strong as last season but viewers in Australia seems to like that.

Seachange rated only a little higher than Dogs Behaving Very Badly.

The casting is on point!

In terms of likeable contestants yes. However in terms of strategic minds I am not sure. Having someone say “I can’t vote out my childhood hero” is just frustrating as a survivor fan.

I think this year’s gameplay is much more stronger than last year’s (or at least bigger, bombastic & more interesting) - last year, you had Benji and to some extent Sharn, but that was really it. This year you got David, Andy, Luke, Harry, Janine, Pia as all very strategic players with some other players also having their moments.

There are some boring players - Abby with her “I cant vote off a childhood hero” BS or Bogan John who can’t go a second without mentioning his ass or a chicken parm - but that is counter acted with the strategic players I listed above

I think the only strategic player that has made moves is Dave, personally. The rest have sat on the fence and said they are making moves when they haven’t, or the moves they have made haven’t played off. Pia hasn’t been that clever a player yet. She has come close to being voted out twice now.

Perhaps I’m a little pre-mature in listing Pia - but I could see a rise of a strategic Pia (I’m loving her “I will be the fish behind the shark “ gameplay and I could see her taking out Janine at the right time).

I hope you are right.
