ABC got a lift on Tuesday with the main channel and ABC News helping to boost the network share by 4 points. That saw other networks lose share. Nine was again an easy winner with wins in all markets except Perth. Nine also won the demos with 10 placed second.

News and current affairs services received a boost across the board. Married At First Sight was up more than 100k from last week while Australian Survivor posted a season high. My Kitchen Rules, however, was down week-on-week.

Nine’s special news service again did well easily accounting for Seven’s offering.

The season 2 debut of Bluey made the top 20.

They must add the two screenings (morning and afternoon) together?

The regular Neighbours episode was very good again last night. Was the Neighbours End Game episode much further behind?

Strange that Neighbours was coded into two episodes on Monday but not last night.

I wonder why they chose to do that? I’m sure the regular episode would have been bigger than Monday then.

Wow! :open_mouth: That’s huge then.

Those nine news specials are doing very well. Clearly a market for it in these times but one wonders if it could become permanently. Many on here have been calling for 9:30pm local news on a regular basis.

Ten haven’t really capitalized on the big news but doing anything extra. They’re doing well with limited resources and not sensationalist but perhaps there could be some expansion.

Geez, imagine the headlines there would have been if the season premiere of Bluey had 11,000 more viewers and outrated MKR!

In 16-39 demo Bluey ranked 10th ahead of Home and Away and MKR.

You know your show is well and truly dead as a door nail when a children’s TV show on a multichannel almost out-rated it in totals and out-rated it in one demo.

It’s times like this (look at how close ABC News & ACA are in the ratings, then look how far behind Home & Away is) you have to wonder if Seven wished they had a nightly current affairs program to air at 7pm.

Bluey also received more viewers than MKR in Melbourne, Brisbane & Adelaide. I’m not quite sure whether to laugh or cry at how the morning airing of a children’s program (the popularity/sudden rise of which is something I have to say I didn’t see coming) on a multichannel is becoming a serious threat to a flagship primetime program.

If axing it isn’t an option, then Seven at the very least need to consider resting their bitching cooking “reality” show for a year or so…even if most TV shows are likely to be taking a break for a year or so with the way things are at the moment anyway.

Not sure about other markets, but it’s to my understanding that Nine’s special 9pm bulletin absolutely smashed The Latest in Sydney.

Nine’s special had roughly double the audience of The Latest in 4 markets. In Perth there was just a 1k gap.

Bluey is a large phenomenon at the moment, probably the biggest kids show in recent times. So comparing it against anything isn’t really relevant. It has really spiked in the last few months.

They launched kids clothing a few weeks back. Apparently people were lining up outside Target and Bigw stores at 5am.

It’s just going mental at the moment.

But we all know it’s the lead in that makes the difference right?
Wonder how it will fare tonight?

That’s a massive timeshifting increase for the evening encore of Bluey’s season two premiere! Could it be the biggest consolidated increase in OzTAM history (in terms of viewers)?
The episode now has two spots on the consolidated top 20.

That also means Bluey beats most of Seven’s and all of 10’s primetime lineup

LOL, maybe Seven or Ten should try and get the first run (or repeat) rights to Bluey!
