Nine’s change to last week’s line-up – switching Wednesday and Tuesday – didn’t have much effect on last night’s network shares. Seven won all markets doing particularly well in Adelaide and Perth, though Nine remained surprisingly competitive without a reality tent pole.

MasterChef again came out on top of the entertainment offerings, with Big Brother second with both shows rating lower than the previous Tuesday. Paramedics on Nine did a lot better at 7.30 than Kath and Kim the previous week.

Of the post 8.30 shows, How To Stay Married was the best, up slightly week-on-week.

Ratings for most news and current affairs shows were down with ACA (hosted last night by Karl Stefanovic) posting its lowest Tuesday audience of this survey so far.

SBS got a boost this week with Who Do You Think You Are? ranking 22nd.

I imagine BB picked up a lot of extra viewers without The Voice and then in its last 30 mins with no Mastetchef as there was a 500k drop to HTSM.

I felt this coming.
ACA has had a couple of close nudges by H & A lately with ABC News having a clearer run at #1.

Big ratings for Neighbours. Biggest in a long time.

Great demographics for BB, very close with MC.

Please someone stop 9 from using the word dominate for one week. I’m happy to congratulate wins, but when your floundering in certain timeslots, and you have to start breaking down your wins to state only, you should be a little more humble

Big Brother saw a good increase on last week. It has been doing quite well for 7 and they would be mad not to renew it.

Big Brother rated lower than it did last Tuesday.

I meant up on last night. It has done really well for 7’s standards in the demos and its online catch up is phenomenal beating anything 10 has had on this year.

But that was too be expected - like last week no Voice and a shorter Masterchef

Denise Scott’s family story on Who Do You Think You Are? was compelling viewing last night on SBS and deserved a bigger audience.

Glad to see The Death of The Aussie Larrikin? attracting a healthy audience for Sky News. An interesting insight into how things have changed for comedians over the past 40 years.

Of course it was. Still doesn’t mean it hasn’t done well and been 7’s best show in the demos. 7 went after Love Island to boost their online platform this show does much better than Love Island on FTA and boosts their online platform as well. 7 must keep it next season.

Nine have been airing this on/off for 20 years and it still rates!? One of George Clooney’s earliest movie roles after ER and our Nicole Kidman (by then well known globally) and continuing to rise.

Noteworthy for being Dreamworks’ first movie, co-set up by Steven Spielberg.

Agreed - even when The Voice/Lego Masters wasn’t on House Rules never reached the 800ks (did it reach 700k)? Big Brother has also succeeded in getting younger demos to tune in- Masterchef’s total viewers is much larger because there’s a greater proportion of 55+ watching.

Big Brother turned back on it’s episode t episode downward trend however it was still down on last Tuesday and had less competition than usual. I wonder if it was the advertised twist that gave it some more viewers or if no Voice and shorter MasterChef had an impact.

One one comedian on it and he is hardly selling many seats

I agree 7 should look at another season. It might not be number 1, sometimes being reasonably competitive is against number 1 is an achievement. (Survivor and Celeb being an example) Big Bro had helped 7 in the demos, but the next question is where to air it next time. (I wont go off track as its another topic, but I would guess 7 will have a very different 4 quarter look next year).
