Nine was eight points clear of second placed Seven on Tuesday up 4 points from the previous week. Seven, 10 and SBS were down, though for 10 it was in the multis while ABC was steady. Nine won all markets except Perth with its best result in Melbourne where the network was 17 points clear of Seven. In Perth, Seven won by 10 points. Nine’s demo results were equally as good, 9 points clear of second placed 10 in 25-54 and 16 points in 16-39.

The two night session of the tennis were the top non-news programs for the night with the late session also making a top 20 appearance.

The Amazing Race again topped the entertainment shows on offer as well as key demo groups, up 45,000 on the previous Tuesday. Holey Moley, however, continued its fall recording yet another season low.

Later, The Good Doctor did a bit better than the previous week while NCIS on 10 slipped week-on-week.

It is good to see The Amazing Race stay quite consistent this year. I was worried it would completely lose viewers around now.

Nine continues to have a good win thanks to The Australian Open Tennis and nine news.
Nine news has good win in Melbourne and Brisbane markets.
The amazing race continues to be consistent in ratings. TARA won its 18-49 and 25-54 demographics.
Holey Moley continues to slide in ratings.

There was a massive 300k difference between it and the tennis at 9pm last night (though that tennis coding went 30min longer and in Brisbane and Perth wouldn’t have been directly head-to-head).

Holey Moley is down year-on-year. An embarrassing (yet alone expensive) flop for Seven.

They really should have tried a back to basics version of MKR. It worked for Masterchef could have worked for MKR.

Next year.

They also went on to win the whole hour.

In Brisbane, it appears that Seven was able to win the 6:30 timeslot, after Nine QLD winning the first half hour.

If Seven had to choose between MKR or HM, I think MKR is the better option in terms of budget and ratings. :joy::joy::joy:

Also overseas sales

And sponsorship. We all know it is easier to get sponsors for food shows which is why Jamie still gets a run on 10.

Those 1m+ metro and topping key demos days from 2017-2017 feel like an eternity ago now

Agree but MKR wasn’t going to get a 2nd look with the network’s current tentpole strategy (which has been relatively successful until now).

@TV.Cynic Forgot to ask, can you see where Chicago Med (from midnight) ended up? About 35min of that was still Djokovic v Zverev 3.5 hour epic and telecast didn’t end until about 12:50am (so nearly all that coding was still tennis).

Considering “Late” made Top 20 and did over 300k metro too.

Unless Nine already time-corrected it?

In Brisbane, one half hour was a tie and they weren’t that far ahead of 7 in the other half.
