Yeah agree. If there are 3 x 90 minute episodes they could have made that 4 or 5 60 minute episodes and aired them across a week or 2 or 3 nights over a couple of weeks.

What’s 60 mins? Never heard of it  chances are it was supposed to only be 3x 60mins and they’ve anyway stretched it out.

Seems very short sighted to suggest they should’ve burnt it off over consecutive nights, just because we’re at the tail end of the ratings period - don’t we all complain that networks don’t program enough as it is?

9 spreading the show out over 3 weekends could be the difference between them winning the week, brining in additional viewers to other nights or programs and having consistent quality first run new content until later in the year.

These were obviously made as event tv style episodes, probably with a slightly longer format in mind than a regular 60 min episode so I don’t mind personally that they’ve done it on this occasion.

For once a network doesn’t unnecessarily draw out a new show, strip it across multiple nights and suddenly that’s exactly what people are suggesting.

Of course we are going to suggest this because what Nine are currently airing at 7.30pm is bombing and it’s also fed an audience to the other networks. They have completely lost momentum after The Block. Hamish and Andy should have started the next night IMO.

So your strategy would be to use all the decent content they have left for the year over 3 nights? Great strategy, I don’t know why they didn’t think of that themselves

I agree. I would have launched Hamish and Andy straight out of the Block. This could have given them one more weekly win to basically make sure they had won the year. They now risk not having the momentum out of the block and Hamish and Andy not having as strong of ratings.

How is that different to them airing the factual stuff now that doesn’t rate? They have something decent so they should have launched it the night after The Block to give it the best opportunity to perform. Even if it was just the first episode on Monday or something, I think that’s what they should have done. Instead by Sunday it may not perform as well as it could have less people exposed to it having switched off Nine during the week.

Also my other my other suggestion was they could have spread it into 4 or 5 episodes which I know isn’t ideal but I’m sure they will consider this end of the year better next year given how poorly they are doing right now.
