Night two of the 2022’s first reality battle saw Australian Survivor the biggest casualty, dropping 100k from the launch episode. While the show still ranked second in key demos it fell behind the second episode of The Voice Generations that held onto most of its audience, only down 39k. Meanwhile Married At First Sight was steady.

Nine won the night easily including the key demos. 10 was again an easy second place in the demos. Nine won all markets except Perth that was won by Seven.

Earlier, Nine News had a poor night especially at 6pm. With a tie in the Melbourne market, Nine managed a win along the east coast with Seven posting big wins in Adelaide and Perth.

7pm saw Home and Away struggling in its first week back while post reality, The Weakest Link’s latest special episode managed 372,000 against not much competition.

ABC’s Catalyst and Outback Ringer had disappointing results.

ABC News channel’s broadcast of PM Scott Morrison’s speech at National Press Club made the multichannel top 20.

Neighbours is number 1 in the multis. A while since we’ve seen that happen.

Rare win for Sunrise in Melbourne, while Sunrise continues to lag behind in Brisbane.

@TV.Cynic I don’t think it’s ever been said, or at least not for a long time, but you do an awesome job with all the ratings news.

365 days a year you dedicate yourself to getting the info out there each morning. Not only that, but you follow up with more info, press releases etc.

So bravo and thanks for such amazing dedication!

I think Seven will be happy with the Voice’s numbers… its holding up well against MAFS.

Also, Nine’s Afternoon News in Perth (locally made) seems to be doing well against 10 News First Perth. It will be interesting to see if Nine can keep chipping away at this time slot.

Not appearing in any of the Top 5 demos must be slightly concerning though.

Thanks. I think the extra info plus the spin that networks put on the results adds an extra dimension to the results each day.

Its only a 3 day fill-in programme for this week… its keeping eyes on the network until the Olympics.

At least they acknowledge it this year. At the end of last year, it was number 1 with far healthier numbers but didn’t even allude to it.

It wasn’t that far behind ACA and ABC news, ranked 6th, 7th and 8th programs for the night.

Fair enough on the ranking. But H and A seems to be lower than expected for opening week in total people when last season it managed 600k on the first 2 eps. But also in the demos it seems to be lagging.

Pretty big drop for Survivor. I think it’s likely that the first episode might have initially launched to a bigger audience that dropped off due to the length of it (and very slow first hour) and they just didn’t come back.

I agree but episode 2 was much better I think.

Survivor is pretty high budget isn’t it? Wouldn’t want to sink much further

We also need to take into account catch up numbers… which will add a lot more viewers.
