Both are running seperate playlist and I heard Pink on2MMM which I’ve never heard before, though I haven’t listened in a while.
Yes, the Triple M Sydney playlist seems to be going even softer and more female friendly, a bit like the way the regionals are trending.
I heard them play Belinda Carlisle’s “Heaven Is A Place On Earth” last week during a workday shift.
I’m assuming to attract those disgruntled Gold listeners, there was a sweeper suggesting “Sydney deserves its own live breakfast show”
Yeah, on 702, 2GB, 2Day, 2SM, KIIS, SEN, any of the community stations… 
Yes, I’m sure I heard them say something like ‘Sydney’s only local commercial FM breakfast show’ last week during a promo for Beau, Cat and Woodsy… but then it’s only really Gold that’s networked from Melbourne?

I’ve heard that one before too, so I didn’t think it was that.. but it was something like that.
At lest it’s not the regional MMMs were they play ed Sheeran Bruno mars and Katy Perry we would not want that too play on Metro MMMs in Brisbane Sydney or Melbourne and Adelaide

The rock have filled a hole MMM should have fixed a long time ago.
get it onto Dab+ in all major markets asap, and watch the mmm decades stations dwindle.
As someone with a partner from across the ditch, and a regular listener over there, it’s great to see them now taking the fight to MMM - who gave up any fight of being a true rock station many years ago - right up to them.
It’s good to because Triple M Brisbane 104.5 never has competition the rock nz is a big threat for Triple M in Brisbane Triple M been number 1 station in Brisbane since 4KQ ended
I think the only Triple M station likely to be affected by a station like The Rock is the Classic Rock DAB+ one. Pure Rock is pretty niche these days, other Triple M stations are now all more in the softer “Greatest Hits” realm.

I don’t think rock is as niche as you might think. The Rock still rates pretty well in NZ. If it’s done right it will still rate here too. It just needs to be broad and not the same narrow version of rock that Triple M seems to play - eg Cold Chisel and ACDC.
I think the trump card with The Rock is that it will actually be music focused, and not play the football and cricket! I reckon Triple M should be worried, because they’re barely a music station most of the time.
Triple M Brisbane 104.5 hasn’t played Eminem I would not be surprised if they randomly just play one of his songs I think with Triple M Brisbane they going more in to the old dab+ station MMMs soft rock
Yes, I just checked Lava and they didn’t play any of his songs in all of the last week (Sun 5 to Sat 11 July).
