Agree, last time i flew into London at 5am and didn’t get much sleep in the 13 hours from Singapore, it was hell trying to stay awake all day until I could check in.
Please to report that these trips went off without a hitch. No cancellations or delays, in fact a couple of flights departed earlier than expected.
VA have a few things to improve like their lounge offering and on board meals but still good for VA 2.0. As I’ve said in the past, the sooner Bain sells the better.

Depends on the IPO markets really. They don’t appear all that flash at the moment.
I would say this time next year would be the next window. Apparently they need to list by Q1 next year as they have loans tied to the IPO that are due in May 2025. Bain already paid themselves out.
Qantas has launched its latest safety video, featuring several frontline staff and Frequent Flyer members at 14 destinations around the world. It replaces the previous version, which celebrated the airline’s 100th anniversary in 2020.

I wish the trend of overdoing safety videos would stop. Just show the basics and let people get back to their headphones or book or whatever.

It will bring forward the service start to March 1 with the inaugural flight from Istanbul. It will arrive in Melbourne the next morning and depart for Istanbul later that night.
Just done my first Bonza return flight. Flights dead empty about 50 on each. Overall experience was good.

The Australian Federation of Air Pilots said its members working for Network Aviation and QantasLink in Western Australia would strike from Wednesday to Friday over stalled wage negotiations.
Senior Industrial Officer Chris Aikens said pilots have had enough and the planned two-day strike would stretch to three days.

Coalition Senators Bridget McKenzie and Dean Smith will introduce the Airline Passenger Protections Bill to Federal Parliament next Monday (February 26). Under the proposed laws, airlines will be forced to pay compensation to passengers if their flights are delayed or cancelled.
