IMO, give or take a few days, this year’s daily ratings do not suggest which show viewers prefer nor can any correlations be drawn between Karl’s absence and Today winning the week.

Yes. What is the relevance of those artists? Did they all perform on the show but or just random picks over 35 years.
Perhaps they are celebrating 35 years since the first compact disc was produced in Australia 
As far as I can tell, it’s just a random song picked for each of the 35 years between 1982 and 2017.
Personally I would buy the CD…but only if Nine got the presenters of Today to sing all those songs. Now that’s a CD which would be a must have for every media enthusiast’s collection! 
A search online finds that while compact discs were first sold in Australia in the same year that Today started broadcasting, we didn’t start mass producing CDs locally until 1986. 
I’d rather prolong the chances of deafness, so nah I’m right.
