Until she takes the helm of the show next year, Gardner will continue her regular duties, reading the Sydney evening news bulletin until the end of December. Then she and her family will enjoy the summer break before she sets her alarm for 3.30am on January 22, the first of many early starts to come.

Georgie will join next year.

Shall be interesting, apparently from what I have heard, she’s incredibly tough when it comes to the production and doesn’t deal with any crap. If something goes wrong on the floor she the first to call it out and doesn’t really enjoy fluff and the silly stories.

I’m thinking some serious $$ were thrown at her for her to take this gig.
