Personally, I think the content and the rather unlikeable presenters (especially compared to the regular presenters on The Morning Show and Studio 10!) are far bigger problems for Today Extra than the set.

Sonia is one of the worst presenters currently on television in my opinion.
David Campbell is a really good presenter actually like the guy and he has done really well when he has filled in for Karl on Today in the past,just a shame he is fronting this crap show.

Interesting read. But the bad thing is that Nine Morning News is affected as a result. The bulletin not only had to relocate, I understand that they have dropped the sport presenting position. [quote=“1169, post:138, topic:670”]

[/quote] If they wanted to save resources, move Nine Early News to studio 24 and keep Morning News from studio 3. But this move suggests that executives are trying to isolate Today Extra from Today more and more. First, David and Sonia were removed from promos and endtags and now broadcasted in another studio.
I don’t think the branding is working the way the Big Wigs were hoping. Maybe they are going back to the future in 2017?
Time to get rid of Sonia - she just seems so dreary compared with Kylie over on Seven.

If they get rid of Sonia the bad PR the show will receive will only make things worse. They need to axe the whole show along with the ‘Mornings’ and ‘Extra’ branding.

Personally, I would like to see him given the Weekend Today hosting role. He is a great talent and a potential replacement for Stefanovic.

Geez they must be struggling for content this morning. Majority of the show has been dedicated to a discussion and poll about it David should keep his beard or not. Ridiculous!
Non ratings and all I understand, but I’d rather watch Wilkins parade himself around the stars than some pubic hair on someone’s face.
Today Extra is not airing this week due to Cricket coverage, summer series starting next Monday.
