What is going on here? For years and years people have been screaming and begging for Tim Bailey to be fired or replaced and now that he finally has people are trying to find alternative roles for him? How very strange. Side note: nothing wrong with Tim Davies on weather. ---

Also, I’m assuming legally Natasha Belling is still contracted to 10, so I can’t imagine anything could be announced prior to that ending (depending on the contract) ---

As stated in the article, there have been no conversations and Nine is going to continue with Alex reading news and sport. It’s just not happening Wickie told me ---

Keeping Alex doing both roles is a mistake. The show severely lacks the “family” vibe sunrise has. There’s no discussion at the desk. It’s just Karl and Ally being mean to each other. The need a Tracy type to get the talkngoing. ---

Tim Bailey was annoying 15 years ago, more recently he’s been unbearable to watch to the point that it’s likely Illawarra & Canberra viewers would cringe and groan at his forecasting style while waiting for WIN News to come on. ---

Today might find itself in 3, 6 or 12 months time looking for someone to join and it could be her or someone else… I find it hard to believe that what he says is set and stone in an environment that continually changes and tries to evolve. ---

That’s my point. It’s all well and good for people to keep calling out the diversity card but there has actually be diverse journalists to hire, which there doesn’t seem to be many at all. Its not the networks fault that most people in the industry appear to be white. ---

The ABC and SBS seem to find plenty of them. The commercial have nowhere their diversity. ---

That’s because the TV industry, in particular channel 9 is all family members and partners/friends who all come from rich backgrounds. Of course there’s the exception to the rule but this is what I have noticed. You could draw a family tree with nine. ---

Darwin, Perth, Adelaide… they all have it. ---

Just in regards to diversity, I think it’s only fair to point out that Brooke Boney and Jake Duke are Indigenous. So to say Nine has no-one except Anglo Saxon reporters or on air presenters is false.
