Seven was up 1.5% with Thursday AFL back in the schedule, though numbers were down on other games this season. Other Network shares were similar to recent results. Nine scored +30% shares to win Sydney and Brisbane while Seven did likewise in Melbourne and Perth while Adelaide saw Seven with a +40% share. Celebrity Gogglebox USA was unchanged and continued to struggle with Law & Order: SVU that followed 34th. ABC’s The Heights was 33rd.

It’s going to be close between Seven and Nine News this week in Brisbane.

Celebrity Gogglebox is such a waste for Ten. The show would do better if it came off the back of Bachelor in Paradise or something in a later timeslot. It’s not good enough to stand on its own. They also risk losing viewers for the new Aussie version next month as having another version in a primetime slot can be seen as overkill. I guess The Bachelor will take it’s place in a couple of weeks anyway.

I wouldn’t worry too much. It’s clearly just filler.
I think the local version has enough of a loyal audience by now that this won’t dilute it.

The numbers would have been higher if the Demons were more competitive. Port Adelaide controlled the match from start to finish.

Interesting that 9 News Sydney managed to maintain their audience across the whole hour.

7mate rating 4.5%, the same as 10 Bold and Two but not one entry in the top 20 or any demos.

Edit: Just realised this was probably AFL, disregard.

Outside of the news, last night’s Dragons vs Souths match did fairly well for Nine in Sydney.

I agree. Last night’s ratings weren’t much better than what Common Sense got a few years ago before it was bumped due to poor ratings.

Although realistically, Ten will probably keep Celebrity Gogglebox US in the schedule (perhaps bumped to the post-Bachelor timeslot when that show returns) until the normal Aussie version returns at the end of August.

Nine have done well on Wednesday (first run factuals rating pretty well) and Thursday (NRL up and alternatives in AFL markets previously you reported were doing okay), to be still leading.

Considering Seven’s AFL on Wednesday and Thursday (even though one-sided) they’d be disappointed, they udually expected bigger shares/margins. They’ll have to rely on Friday and Saturday to get them across the line.

Main channel will go down to the wire and key demos will be interesting seeing as BB is over, Farmer not doing as well in them and not just Ninja but Bach doing very well in them.

There’s only 2 episodes left anyway.

3 as 10 skipped episode 8 to show episode 9 which included MAFS. The timing is perfect as Celebrity Gogglebox USA will finish on the 20th and the AUS version will start on the 27th.

Yeah i noticed that but wasn’t sure if it was due to copyright shows or something. They skipped an earlier episode too.
