Three episodes of Home and Away plus the number one news helped Seven to the narrowest of victories with Nine very competitive as well. However, 10 was the winner in the demos.

MasterChef was above one million for the third consecutive night to win it timeslot as Gogglebox’s season finished with 850,000. The Project was also number one commercial program at 7pm.

I wonder why people aren’t getting into The Heights? It’s a fantastic Australian drama that reflects the current Australian landscape. The show is a lot more diverse than Home and Away and Neighbours and even Doctor Doctor.

It’s a shame people aren’t seeing it.

Good rankings for GoggleBox. ACA numbers slightly heading downwards. 7News regains lead for Syd as 9NEWS continues a winning streak for Brisbane. MasterChef numbers quite good too. ABC News just under 7 in Adelaide and Perth news. Ten News First rating low in Adelaide (and Bris).

Nine News Sydney really struggling. Hot Seat wins it’s time lost then Fergo takes the lead. I must say Nine looks stale lately. Bad graphics/bad camera angles don’t help.

Despite another one million viewers watching MC and Gogglebox’s huge rebound to a strong finish to its season, 10’s primary share was 1.6% lower than last Thursday.
SBS’s share also went up.

Because Masterchef went to nearly 10pm last week and 7 managed to hold better 7:30 to 8:30 ratings.

I like it but the timeslot isn’t great. I mostly watch it on iview.

Maybe Sundays at 6pm would be better?

Ignore my previous comment need to read it properly

Although I don’t think you are right. 10s main channel won by more than last night. The reason for the loss was the multi channels.

Shocking marketing is a factor. ABC rams ads for Mystery Road and average dramas like Harrow down your throat but they’ve never sold the Heights well.

Saying that, it might do better on iview than terrestrial.

10’s main channel lost share from last week and it’s multis were higher this week?

This is what i don’t get with Seven. Home and Away had THREE episodes last night, but coded it as one episode (in overnight ratings). Yet splits its 4-7pm shows (the 4pm News, The Chase Aus and the 6pm News) into seperate coding segments for the ratings

I’m surprised they haven’t considered coding each episode separately so that they can brag about the ‘high’ ratings for Home and Away (at least for the earlier episodes).

10 did well to be 0.1% behind Seven and with one less multichannel. Though I wonder how the 10 Bold line-up does in the demos. NCIS is at the top but nowhere in the top 5 of the demos, on the other hand, 10 Peach only has Neighbours as an entry in the top 20 but it fairs significantly better in the demos with Friends and Neighbours (though Friends episode 3 in Brisbane, ouch).

When you push diversity it doesn’t rate. Let the cast be naturally diverse and let it speak for itself - also the episodes are way too short every week, can’t it be 1 hour?

I enjoy the show for its storyline and insights into affordable housing etc, not because one person is this nationality or the other. I also watch it on iview… which probably counts more than me watching it on TV because I don’t have a ratings box.

I don’t think the show “pushes” it’s diversity.

Sorry I was looking at the wrong shares. Bit all over the place
