Seven secured a rare win in all markets on Thursday as well as winning all three demo groups. It has set up a potentially close finish for the week with Nine currently on 28.6% and Seven on 28.5%.

Seven’s win was due to News plus Home and Away as, unfortunately for the network, Bride and Prejudice got no benefit from the lessening of competition on Thursday, losing ground from the launch episode.

But it was a pretty lacklustre night across the networks with RBT on Nine up slightly and 10’s Gogglebox steady once again on top of the demos and Jamie’s Ultimate Veg down from last week.

Multichannels were an option for many with Survivor was a good alternative on 9Go!

Gogglebox holding up even though its lead-in fell. The show’s ratings should improve next week when it airs after The Bachelorette.

They would have been better off keeping the Home and Away triple episodes on Thursday.

I think without The Block, Nine is not much better than Seven. It will be interesting to see if Seven could narrow the ratings margin after the conclusion of The Block. It is the tightest race that we have seen in a long time.

Survivor US currently one to watch!

Very rare 1%+ for 7Food Network (Gordon Ramsay re-run marathon)

Triple Home and Away is back in 2 weeks.

Strange that RBT is beating bride and prejudice

With last nights ratings it wouldn’t surprise I’d they bring triple home and away to next week. Bride and Predjudice certainly isn’t going to gain viewers against Bachelorette

I wonder if there is a clause in the contract between Foxtel/10 preventing them from running Gogglebox in a earlier time slot than 8:30, cause surely that would’ve been a better option for the network.

10 News First under 300k last night, very low.

The Gogglebox content is M rated so Ten probably don’t want to run an M show at 7.30pm.

Survivor delivers another good performance for 9Go! Will be interesting to see what 9 decide to do next season given the strong ratings for the show, and the fact that season 40 is set to be the biggest season of the show in 10 years.

Ten have wasted such an opportunity to really steam roll the week with The Masked Singer and Bachelorette. Seven are going to be annihilated next week if they plan on airing Bride and Prejudice up against The Bachelorette.

Yes it is doing well which is good to see given a couple of seasons ago they shifted it to 9.30 as it wasn’t doing well in that timeslot. The season has been great so far and is far superior to our Aussie version. I really hope that next season it remains where it is. It has satisfied the diehard fans on Go for years with the same day airing. There’s no point Nine airing the all winners season on the main channel cos it’ll likely move to a later time slot or clash with Australian All Stars.

Can’t believe 9 won at 7.30 with RBT! Why would you bother trying something new or different when garbage like this wins a timeslot.

It’s unfathomable that they’re not taking full advantage of the momentum they’ve got at the moment

Exactly

Yet they air NCIS at 7:30…

I know some are saying they should have aired The Bachelorette straight away but I am not convinced. Last week was a Grand Final week so there were plenty of grand final sports shows and a public holiday night. So I don’t think it would have been a great week to launch. This week they could have probably aired it. But they still got 18% on Thursday. Wednesday was a fail, but the Thursday share isn’t too bad. Having The Bachelorette go basically until the end of ratings is advantageous for 10 in my opinion. Obviously if it weren’t for the failure of Changing Rooms this would have aired straight after The Bachelor.

I still think 10 should split The Bachelor/ette up next year. I would air one in Apirl/May at the conclusion of Married at First Sight. I would air the other at the conclusion of Masterchef in September. I would then air Bachelor in Paradise in an 8:30 slot following Masterchef (Tuesday and Thursday).

Where? Not on 10 they don’t. Do you mean 10 Bold? I think they treat the main channel differently and try not to offend viewers too much.

I think the f-bombs they drop on Gogglebox would still be a sensitive thing for some viewers at 7.30pm when their kids are likely to still be up.

I am sure they have aired NCIS at 7:30 Sunday at one stage this year. But understand they treat channels differently. Although I don’t really see the difference to airing something at 7:30 on a multi and main.
