Not a lot of change in network shares from the previous Thursday, Seven up slightly and 10 down a bit.

Seven won the key demo 25-54 while 10 won 16-39.

Making It was only up 20,000 on Wednesday’s dragging down lead-out Gogglebox by 80,000 from last week.

The Front Bar on a season high with +300k in Melbourne, by far its best market with very low numbers for a main channel prime-time show in Sydney and Brisbane. Earlier Home and Away also doing well for Seven. Seven’s numbers for The Front Bar and The Latest will need to be adjusted to the overrun.

Nine’s RBT was down with the post 8.30 line up out of the top 20. ABC saw Foreign Correspondent even with last week with Q and A again missed the top 20.

On 10Bold’s first day in HD it recorded a 3.2% share which compares to 3.3% for the previous Thursday. 10Bold’s average Thursday share for the 2021 ratings year is 3.3%.

Based on preliminary figures, The Front Bar’s season finale was up on last year’s 469,000.

Seven News dropped below the 100,000 mark in Adelaide but still won over the hour.

10Peach having a good week. Is this normally. Seems like 10 have their first two multis about right in their programmin mix. Shame about their main channel and Shake.

Seven News Sydney very competitive lately. Still basking in the afterglow of the Olympics or have Sydney viewers finally warmed to Mark Ferguson?

Or is it that more people are home for 6pm during lockdown? Just extra viewers up for grabs during this time and they’ve gone to Seven News?

Seven in Sydney got a boost from the Olympics as well.

Could Nine’s ongoing technical issues play a part? Viewers have had enough and switched to Seven?

I agree with this. It’s probably not so much a case of Nine News loosing viewers but Seven gaining them.

Also interesting that ABC News outrated A Current Affair (not for the first time recently either) in Sydney & Melbourne.

If it’s just a case of extra viewers watching Sydney news, should Nine be concerned that these extra viewers are going to Seven instead of Nine?

I wouldn’t be. If the theory is correct, Seven will loose them in a few weeks when lockdown ends and people are back at work.

Yeah I think post-lockdown Nine will need to do a bigger promotional push. Perhaps getting Pete & co doing some OBs or Special Reports out in the Western suburbs, etc.

Probably with 9 is its gone a little woke and they’ve moved around and gone to 7.

I’m not aware of any notable talent or managerial changes that have caused Nine News Sydney to “go woke” as many far right wingers would say.

For a while now, I’ve been thinking that Seven News Sydney gets more viewers when there are major stories from viewers who don’t often watch news bulletins, but Nine News Sydney has a stronger viewership base. Seven probably needs to increase its viewership base, while Nine needs to do more to appeal to those viewers who’ll only come to TV news for the big stories.

The influence of 9 on 2GB has made me switch to 7NEWS. Too much saturation and identities, sometimes you need a break from their opinion and influence/talent and go elsewhere. So turning off 2GB would also extend to 9NEWS programs give they are heavily integrated.

So much fluctuation.

Is that 7news’s 4th nightly win in a row in Brisbane?

So 347,000 total people and not even in the top 5 in the demos , it’s still doing ok?
