With the return of NRL’s Thursday night game, Nine recovered from last week up to its usual Thursday share with the main channel number one for the night.

Seven dropped more than three points but claimed a narrow win. ABC was up three with no Federal Budget reply speech to worry about recording its best Thursday share since early March. Meanwhile 10 was steady while SBS lost audience.

Nine won NRL markets with Seven winning in AFL territory. Nine won 25-54 with 10 second. 10 won 16-39 and 18-39 with Nine second.

MasterChef topped the entertainment offerings and key demos. For the first time Seven coded separately for multiple episodes of Home and Away.

Nine News claiming another win in Adelaide.

Multichannels decided the network share winner for the second night in a row.

The news battle in Adelaide this week will go down to the wire with Seven News and Nine News claiming two nights each, Nine News having also won Sunday.

Home and Away-Ep.2 sounds better than Home and Away-Late. Adding the word Late gives the impression that it airs sometime after 10pm (like Australian Open tennis earlier this year).

It was a close night between seven and nine.
A close battle between Seven News and Nine News in Adelaide. Looks like Nine News Adelaide will achieve another weekly win this week. When WIN owned Nine Adelaide back in the past, their ratings were very low. Since 2020, The gap between seven and nine news in Adelaide has narrowed down.

Smh at Seven’s multiple coding for H&A, as they’ve aired x3 eps on Thursdays for how many years now yet haven’t done that? :disappointed: Although, it’s better than some of their other times they choose to do it (as at least there are three separate episodes and assuming the higher one is for 7pm so a Mon-Thur average can be drawn)?

Although Nine’s wins haven’t been big this week, Seven will probably need big wins now tonight and tomorrow in order to overtake Nine again to win the week (I’m guessing somewhere 8-10%+ on at least one of the nights), not sure it’ll happen actually, as unlike last Fri/Sat, those shares/margins don’t happen every single week.

From Nine;

9NEWS AND THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTY WIN THE NIGHT FOR CHANNEL 9

But they only have 2 home and away entries for the episodes.
We’ve seen the breakdown a lot in previous years as consolidated used to often split all three episodes.
Last night the “late” may be for the 7:30-8:30 episodes?

I’d rather they split the three episodes of Home and Away but not split programs like Seven News and Big Brother which are not episodes strung together.

Never seen @TV.Cynic work harder, all this extra information, thank you

Such as (think this is new):

And now it’s been announced MS will cover weekend ratings, I wonder if Cynic will be able to do some analytical info too (such as further rankings, key demos, m/c, etc) as even TVT has always been limited on weekends.

Ratings still seem to fluctuate for both shows.

Does the late portion of Home and Away cover 7:30pm-8:30pm, or 8:00pm-8:30pm?

Seven News Sydney beat Nine News Sydney by 1k in the 6:30pm half hour.

This is the first i’ve seen Home and Away split their triple episode run into two - for the overnight prelim ratings. Probably to boost their Mon-Thurs 7pm average into a higher number, i assume.

I also rather Seven do this to Home and Away, and not split their Afternoon News, The Chase and the 6pm News into two…
