Last night’s AFL down almost 400,000 on the previous week so that Seven lost two point’s in network share while 10 was down three points without MasterChef in the line up. ABC picked up three to be back to its usual Thursday number while Nine was up almost two points. Not surprisingly , Seven won in the AFL states while Nine won in NRL territory.

Live sport still dominated the night. AFL ranked first in Melbourne, 4th in Adelaide and 6th in Perth. NRL was 7th in Sydney and 5th in Brisbane.

Territory Cops beat Celebrity Gogglebox USA in AFL states but Gogglebox rated better than the Harry Potter movie in Sydney and Brisbane. In the key demos Gogglebox ranked 7th.

Very low number for Today, apart from the Queen’s Birthday result, it was the lowest audience since early March

What an awful night for 10!

Celebrity Gogglebox was trampled by the AFL after being promoted to the 7.30pm timeslot.
Miss Scarlet and the Duke did well again on 7TWO, although the season finale had less viewers than the earlier episode.

If Todays ratings weren’t sign enough for the top brass at Nine that Karl was on the nose, then the horror ACA ratings this week should get the point across in no uncertain terms.

Celebrity Gogglebox should have gone to a later slot not an earlier slot.

Celebrity Gogglebox demos weren’t too bad. 7th in 25-54.

Ouch for 10 and a big ouch for a massive drop in the AFL as well.

It was a horrible game. Richmond have completely lost it.

From Nine

9News was the No.1 program of the night in Sydney

A Current Affair won its timeslot in Sydney,

Thursday Night NRL Live was a timeslot winner in Sydney and Brisbane.

From 10

The Project 7pm:

  • #1 across its timeslot in under 50s and all key age groups.

Celebrity Gogglebox USA:

  • #7 show in under 50s, 25 to 54s and 18 to 49s, #8 in 16 to 39s.

10 what a joke last night. I think they could lose momentum without MasterChef later in the week which could affect them the following week. They really should bring forward Bachelor in Paradise to next week.

Most likely many thought Celebrity Gogglebox was at its usual timeslot and so didn’t get to watch it

last weeks was also boring and the shorter quarters I am not enjoying - plus lack of atmosphere from lack of crowds.

Not sure what is going on with the Tigers either, am a fan… one for another threat though :stuck_out_tongue:

Last week’s game was watched by more people in Melbourne (668,000) than the the 5-city total last night.

Why is the NRL so soft?

Lower than ACA in Sydney

Yeah I am not a huge fan of the shorter quarters. i actually think it has slowed the game down a bit rather than do what they were hoping in the opposite. With than crowds I am not too upset with it. I think they have done an ok job with adding the noise. And it won’t be too long until we see a small crowd at all venues anyway.

10 News First numbers don’t look too good for 5pm. (little bit of a worry for mid winter)

Seems like the big news spike from earlier this year is gradually waning.

Greater foxtel penetration in Sydney. The match didn’t feature a Sydney team either. Poor broadcast deal as well plays onto that.
