The Traitors

Yeah doesn’t bode well for the AU version, it was basically the dress rehearsal for the NZ version, means NZ is likely the better of the 2 unfortunately - anything that didn’t work too well in AU could have been fixed for NZ.

However there was only 4 days break between filming AU and NZ, so not much time to make any big changes or improvements.

Annoyed in the episode before the final they spoiled the final murder with their “next time” preview. Not upset with the final outcome though, and also glad they kept the reveal in at the final round table - I do think the UK/US taking it out beforehand weakens the final. Not having them in the endgame portion seems the right compromise between revealing them throughout the final and not at all.

The Traitors NZ has been renewed for a 4th season to film in the first half of 2027.

Casting now open to anybody legally able to work and reside in NZ (would include Aussie citizens?) aged 20 or older

Quite enjoyed NZ Traitors Season 3. Really liked Madeleine as I’m not a fan of Paul Henry. The only problem was I could still hear her swearing from Deadloch.

Was a bit anti-climatical, I thought. I didn’t expect it to play out that way still, but it still felt like a fizzer.

Man they do some travelling around South Canterbury.

We’ve Been Dying To See You.

The Traitors Premieres Tuesday, 4 August At 7.30pm On 10 And 10 Streaming.

The Round Table is set for the most devious game of treachery, and all we are missing is… you.

On Tuesday, 4 August at 7.30pm, our host Gretel Killeen welcomes 22 infamous Aussies into her wickedly unpredictable manor when The Traitors premieres.

Everyone arrives as equals, but once Gretel selects her Traitors to hide in plain sight, it is up to the Faithfuls to work out who they can trust… before their time before their fate is sealed.

When everyone’s a suspect and trust is on borrowed time, even the most harmless comment could have deadly consequences.

Joining Gretel at the Round Table are famous faces from some of Australia’s biggest reality shows, including Ian “Dicko” Dickson and Cosima De Vito from Australian Idol, Gamble Breaux from The Real Housewives of Melbourne, Krissy Marsh from The Real Housewives of Sydney, Kween Kong and Rhys Nicholson from Drag Race Down Under, Shane Gould, Kirby Bentley, Henry Nicholson and AJ Antonios from Australian Survivor, Keira Maguire and Alex Nation from The Bachelor, and Cam Merchant from Married At First Sight.

Also entering Gretel’s manor are Rachael Evren and Claudia Bonifazio from Love Island Australia, Josh Packham and Luke Packham from Love Island Australia and The Block, Alvin Quah from MasterChef Australia, Manaaki Hoepo from Aussie Shore, Tully Smyth from Big Brother, Lawson Mahoney from Made In Bondi, and musician Rob Farnham, son of Aussie music legend John Farnham.

They have faced some of the toughest challenges reality TV has thrown their way, but nothing has prepared them for what’s in store inside Gretel’s manor.

The Traitors is a game of strategy, suspicion and spectacular betrayal, where charm is a weapon, trust is risky, and every smile could be hiding a dark secret.

One thing is certain: this August, being good will get you nowhere. The Traitors is produced for Network 10 by South Pacific Pictures. The Traitors (Dutch title: De Verraders) was created and developed by IDTV in cooperation with RTL Creative Unit.

All3Media International is responsible for the international distribution of the format and tape sales.

If this works and fingers crossed it does, here is our new home for the C list ‘celebrities’ no one wants to see again that no longer have a home on I’m a celebrity get me out of here.

Hoping they work it so there are civilians series. At least with I’m a celebrity we got to see a different side to most of them and in a lot of cases understand them more, not sure The Traitors format is built to do that

You seem to have a split personality on this.

You aren’t supposed to see a good side of people on a show like this. I think a show like celebrity big brother is what you would want to see that.

for me this isn’t a celebrity version. It’s a regular version with professionally trained reality personalities. One of these goes to my gym regularly. He ain’t rich enough to join the high quality gyms.

Wonder why 10 has only two episodes of The Traitors Canada Season 1, which is 3 years old? Just put it all on for bingers like me. It’s not as good, production wise, or cast, as some of the others but I think I’m addicted to the traitors franchise no matter where it’s filmed. Watched a couple of episodes on Daily Motion and then it disappeared.

Did not expect Tuesday to be the premiere day! Thought this would be a Sunday thing

I think 10 chooses a Tuesday to avoid a possible replay of Glasgow Commonwealth Games closing ceremony on Seven the previous night (August 3).

Gretel is on the cover of Stellar liftout inside News Corp papers this Sunday. She is also a guest on Something to Talk About podcast out on the same day.

In the interview she mentions they’re introducing the host assistant / butler character that until now has only been used in the US version (Fergus)
