A number of the cast were of the understanding Terry would not be back for Season 3 and planned accordingly. The casting didn’t quite go as planned so they rengaged with Terry for her to return. The reaction to her attending next weeks filming is genuine. The original two were not happy.

I don’t think any of these people are “real”. I like Krissy and Caroline because I don’t believe they take this all seriously. I find Kate, Terry and the new person Martine insufferable! To me this is not well produced. They need to have a look at the Beverley Hills edition and even the old Melbourne editions to make the program better. Everything on here is petty and trivial, drama just for the sake of it and not real.
Agreed, this was also an issue with the final Melbourne season. Each “event” is being filmed as a structured scene rather than a docuseries. Largley due to budget, nto much gets lost on the cutting room floor, the US formats will film days of footage for less than 10 mins airtime.

Makes sense, Australian version have always felt inferior to the originals but I’m still enjoying it somewhat for what it is - will be interesting to see how the rest of the season plays out.

Real Housewives of Sydney rebel as sh*t hits fan during publicity round
Some of the Real Housewives of Sydney cast members are flouting their contracts and have engaged in unsanctioned interviews saying things that could potentially ruin reputations. And legal letters have reportedly been prepared.
Production members are concerned about some women who they believe are “intentionally misrepresenting” other housewives.”
“These women are spreading false narratives,” one production source said.
One housewife in particular seems to be really flirting with danger, having recently made serious allegations on social media, which she has since pulled down.
What is most concerning to many of the housewives is that the production company behind the series, Matchbox, is not responding to their concerns.
Jackie and Gamble from the Melbourne franchise are hosting a vertical watch party for the Sydney series.

I’ve watched a lot of seasons of Housewives and I don’t think I’ve ever seen so much deep hatred amongst so many women that looks like it will never be resolved. It’s not like just a couple of girls are feuding… you have Kate and Caroline, Krissy/Nicole/Terry then most of the others have had a jab at someone else at some point. The first season people were flinging a lot of insults but that felt a lot more petty. This is going to another level.
It was interesting that they mentioned some sort of altercation that happened off camera between Carolyn and Terry after the park session with Jackie. I saw a bit of a live viewing that Jackie was doing with some of the girls (Martine, Terry and Kate) and the snippet I saw sounded like from Jackie’s perspective that Carolyn was completely in the wrong on that. So it’s not surprising that she didn’t turn up to NZ.
I think there were reports that by about episode 9 things completely fall apart and they couldn’t continue filming? I wonder if we will ever see Nicole again in a group setting? Or Carolyn? Pretty weak to sign up to a show and just check out like that because you don’t like someone.
This season feels like a bit of an improvement on the last production wise. It seems to flow better and they pack a bit more into the episodes.
Even last night Victoria mentioned that she’s just come back from Europe. She has barely even been gone for an episode so if she did go during filming, they have done a good job for playing some of her personal storylines out over the last couple of episodes that you wouldn’t have known. I think she only missed that big park gathering with all the girls.

I don’t blame them for not showing up! Terry and Kate are absolutely toxic people. Terry is just so false and Kate’s comments about her “new friend” Martine being a trophy wife are a little below the belt. Kate adds nothing to the show except her bad manners. I like Carolyn, Krissy, Nicole and Sally, the rest are expendable. Sally and Nicole, however, are the only two genuine people in the show.
I feel like your personal feelings of certain cast members is overshadowing your views here. There are things they are expected to do when they have signed up for a show, which includes showing up. They made a commitment to the show and viewers by being on the cast.
Nicole literally made up a reason to miss the reunion (which we all know was really to avoid Terry) and has avoided her since. I don’t think she should have been asked back this season at all, but she is on the cast so can’t just be excused for hiding away from group scenarios. She should be removed from the show completely. The same goes for Caroline if she decided not to show up to the trip because of an argument (and it wasn’t something pre-planned).
At least they show up and confront things like they are meant to do. Kate had almost the entire cast against her in the first episode but she still turned up and faced everyone. That’s what you are expected to do when you sign up for a show. You don’t see Terry or Kate just storming off like the other girls do either.

I take your point but I think that Nicole doesn’t like the drama. She was quite right about calling out Terry for the drama about being late last year. As for Caroline she missed one trip. Terry and Kate missed the Noosa trip! The two of them are only there to create drama. I only watch Beverley Hills of the overseas housewives these days and at least they have some back story. Sydney is all parties, trips and drama. Even Melbourne’s version had some back story.

Oh yes you are right about Kate missing Noosa. Terry wasn’t back on board for this season at that point though, so wasn’t even in consideration to go to Noosa.
