Unlikely that Aus will pull ahead given CBS are calling the shots, I’d say this is why they were cagey about releasing number of eps filmed this season even though it was widely known they were filming 20 episodes.
Most of CBS lineup is return in the last week of February which would be after NBC finishes the Winter Olympics. I expect Sydney to also return then for Paramount+ AU given they would want to avoid spoilers etc
Paramount+ have confirmed we will be airing alongside the US and not be moving ahead of them.
Any talk of a cross over between shows?
Tessa de Josselin guest stars in NCIS: Sydney episode “Sucker Punch”. She played Billie in Home and Away from 2015 to 2017.
U&Alibi will show season 1 and 2 of NCIS: Sydney (Paramount+ UK has first-run rights to the current season 3).
UKTV has also acquired NCIS: New Orleans (S1-S7) for entertainment channel U&W, and Seal Team (S1-5) for free streaming service U.
Also in that episode was Rupert Reid who played Jack Lawson in Blue Heelers & Craig Hall who played Victor Stone in Neighbours.
Josh McKenzie (La Brea, The Twelve, The Hunting Party) is guest star on NCIS: Sydney this week, alongside his partner Mavournee Hazel.
This week’s episode of NCIS (S23E08) included a tribute to assistant director Thomas Buckley, who died in April this year.
NCIS cast celebrated filming the 500th episode last week. It will air on CBS on March 17 next year (March 18 in Australia on P+).
I wonder why, maybe due to the Bondi attack? But the episode was about Antartica
Also the show misses out the upgraded 9pm timeslot - it would of given some indication if the low ratings are because of late timeslot and low ratings of NCIS Orgins or the actual show itself not resonating with viewers.
NCIS Tony & Ziva NOT renewed for S2.
UPDATE
Cote de Pablo has since posted on her Instagram.
Twelve years ago, after my final scene on NCIS, Michael and I walked back to our trailers and this photo was taken. We had no idea then that Tony and Ziva’s story would one day come full circle.
Today, this photo carries a beautiful new meaning. May Tony and Ziva walk into their forever. Thank you all for your love and support
Not surprising. They do seem to have stretched the concept too far now.
Also, Emily Wickersham made a surprise return as Eleanor Bishop in the mid season finale of NCIS.
After leaving NCIS in 2021, Emily married actor James Badge Dale (24, The Pacific) in 2024 and gave birth to two kids.
What I don’t understand is why they sent the main 2 stars to Australia for the upfronts and a press tour after the season ended for them to just cancel it without a season 2. Seems like an expense that wasn’t needed
Probably because they hadn’t made the decision yet and were still promoting the first season in the hope there would be a second.
Michael Weatherly has acknowledged a campaign by fans of NCIS: Tony and Ziva calling for the show be saved. A GoFundMe page raised US$3000 for a billboard on New York’s Times Square displaying a QR code at the 46th minute of every hour, for 24 hours on New Year’s Eve, which gave a link to an information page about how people could be involved.
I want to just say how much this made me smile and maybe even nudged my tear ducts… beautiful, and I want to say a GIGANTIC thank you to any and all involved. I see you. I appreciate you. Big kiss for 2026 https://t.co/ICLrOkn7mo
