The following table is based on the best information I have over the survey period. There was some missing data but it should give a good indication of the year’s results. The Morning Show was well ahead in average audience across the year where Today Extra rarely challenged. It was much closer in the metro ratings were Today Extra had a few wins.

So the regionals love TMS and the metros give TE a go some days. That’s a reasonable summary.
Going off-topic, are those TE wins (and by extension, TMS losses) linked to major events, sports or otherwise, 9 would cover later that day?
No - usually because Today rates higher on that day.
