Agreed. I hate the sunrise desk and coffee table, they are just big lighting boxes and visually are ugly. They should use the same ones from TMS. ---

Seven really needs one set that can be used for everything that isn’t just ugly light boxes. It’s so hideous. ---

You know what, the base of the set they have is fine. The issue is the choice of safe boring lighting on the set light boxes - its the same palette and they don’t get creative. As well as all of the graphics used for , 7News, Sunrise, Morning Show are all hideous. They have blank canvases built into the set but they choose ugly and dated looking graphics. I remember when this set was introduced and Pell was saying “its the most advanced set we have had” yet its what… 6 years old now(?) and they _STILL_ haven’t used it to it’s full potential. Its like burying someone a 4k 60inch TV and they watch everything in Standard Definition. That’s my issue. ---

I liked the first set. As time went on things got worse. I like the whole NBC today sort of live studio with the city happenings in the backdrop. I like the patterns in the light boxes more than some of the ugly pastel colours they have these days. The sunrise patterns from this era look even better. That’s a good one. What I loved about that era was the simplicity of switching between non city to city view. Those colours are a good fit. No reason why they couldn’t have stayed. And no reason why the set couldn’t have remained like that but an evolution of that model. One other piece of that set should have remained also. ---

I think the next time that Larry is away on holidays _(which will most likely be sooner rather than later since he hasn’t had a day off in exactly 4 months to the day…)_, Seven should use celebrity co-hosts to fill-in for him instead of the usual suspects in-house. Some names I was thinking of, any other ones people can think of? - Matt De Groot from Nova 96.9 - Beau Ryan (although is he contracted to Channel 10 because of The Amazing Race?) - Shannan Ponton, former trainer on The Biggest Loser and cast member on The All New Monty Guys v Gals - Fitzy or Wippa from Nova 96.9 - Brendan “Jonesy” Jones from WSFM - Joe Hildebrand, former Studio 10 panellist Also a good chance to test out the waters for a replacement host in case Larry suddenly leaves the network and the network want The Morning Show to continue with a new male host alongside Kylie. ---
