From 6 October The Latest is pushed back anytime it airs before 10pm such as Sundays and Wednesdays.

Due to daylight savings, they cant get the bulletin out until the local news finishes.

Pity we can’t have it live at the earlier time in Qld during daylight saving in the southern states.

The Latest is out of Sunday night schedules effective tomorrow. However, a Thursday night bulletin has been added. Schedule has been updated.

Daylight savings makes it too difficult to do from Perth. Hence why Nine do Sunday night’s from Sydney.

Who even watches The Latest any more?
It’s not the same bulletin it was when it started and was Sydney based.
It’s all very ho-hum and not something that is going to attract its own viewers; it’ll just be people who’ve left it on 7, but given the crap that airs prior to it, that will become less and less.

It’s so sad. it had such great potential to succeed but the horrible late starting times killed it.

It’s clear that Seven is trying to kill the bulletin.

And they could’ve continued with the Saturday bulletin and really given ACA some competition.

That, and also not airing it when they had a late lead-in (i.e. Friday AFL, Big Bash over summer).

Exactly - could’ve of tweaked the format a bit, and if it rated well, then maybe it could’ve worked as a 7pm weeknight show.

That wouldn’t have been viable though considering Sevden’s AFL commitments would have meant it would only really have aired in NSW, QLD and WA for half the year.

Yet A Current Affair manages well with the Saturday program only airing in certain states when NRL is on.
