I was going for the Chaser tonight after that offer for steps was turned down. Would had to have been one of the highest individual wins. ---

Things kind of got heated there for a minute, the contestant obviously didn’t like the Chaser telling her she was “crazy” for not taking the 4 fire-power steps (which she retorted back with “well that’s your opinion”). But it would have gotten her the win since Sharky only got there with 7 secs remaining. ---

It seems to making the contestants less likely to go for the lower offer. There was probably too much of that going on, but it did generally make for a more competitive and interesting Final Chase with more contestants involved. ---

Beat the Chasers in the UK introduced a mystery masked Chaser dubbed The Maverick to this weeks show, revealing their identity at the end of the show. It was Brad’s mate Joe Pasquale A lesson for Seven perhaps that ITV didn’t milk it with weeks of promos - indeed the press only reported on it on the day of broadcast, and most viewers only found out when watching it. ---
