Those sorts of things happen all the time with behind the scenes. Don’t fix what ain’t broken!
It does remind me of the British example; when BBC News had to decamp from their regular studios and move to their Millbank studios for a couple of hours in 2016, some folks over at the UK TV forums noticed that they were using background bed music for the headlines which was last heard on TV in 2003! So those old files had been sitting on a playout system for almost fifteen years without being altered.

This would’ve been around the time that 3ABN first went international in 2000. Looking at the page this is from, this was on Thaicom-3 (predecessor of Thaicom-5) when the feed went through Hotbird 6 (which 3ABN is no longer on). Everything is now sent through landline to the different uplink sites around the world (through MX-1/RR-media) so this sort of thing wouldn’t be seen any more.
