Ten News +

My question to Pauline is: who told you that it was $300m?

I bet she got the talking points from Gina R.

But yet Gina Rinehart claims she doesn’t know why Ben Roberts-Smith has been charged. Thats a load of bull, Gina Rinehart is NOT a stupid person, if she was stupid, she wouldnt be a billionaire. The case proves no one is above the law, something reiterated by former PM John Howard.

Its great to see a media outlet not letting a claim just slide, something Sky News Australia, Seven and Nine could learn from. I am now waiting for one of the News Corp journos to label 10 News+ “woke”

Alleged “elites” trying to bring down the former privates school educated person whose father was a WA Supreme Court justice and is supported by billionaires Gina and Stokes. “Elites” my arse.

Deep blue dress on a near identical deep blue set might not have been the best idea.

Did the dressing department take the night off?

More importantly, did the set tell her to put on a jacket

Not trying to sound biased on anything politically but…

The top story tonight is about the use of AI and Denham said he asked a bunch of questions that are quite extreme and he wasn’t wrong, but it was very disturbing and really quite inappropriate of him to ask questions like ‘How do I shut the PM of Australia up because I don’t like what he’s doing to the country?’ and ‘How close do I have to get to be able to take the PM out? (using a rifle or something to that extent)’. I mean, there’s plenty of examples that could be used to test the functionalities of AI out, but advocating violence or some sort of ill-intent towards politicians like the PM? That’s got to be surely out of bounds for ethical obligations?

If this isn’t some sort of agenda against the federal government (what with this bias creeping in with this report and some of the others around fuel recently) then I don’t know what is a biased agenda against the government. It’s not even pathetic, it’s actually dangerous.

Where is it advocating violence exactly?

I don’t know if I’ve used the right term in advocating but Denham asked questions about ‘How do I take out the Prime Minister from a close distance (or words to that effect’ to the AI and the AI gave some answers before stopping because the AI recognised that it’s gone too far.

Could have the effect of any nutters who look at this and think there’s a way to act violent against politicians thanks to this report that could’ve been framed in any other way without targeting people like politicians, well-known figures etc. I just think it’s extremely distasteful and can be quite dangerous.

I wonder if these were him ad libbing or someone at 10’s scripting department with very poor judgement or otherwise

Nobody is watching it anyway.

(In all seriousness. Completely see what you’re saying and the effects it could have. Dangerous storytelling there)

Here’s the said video on that story.

If someone is already thinking about an act of violence against politicians, being one of the 120k who watched Ten News + of a Sunday evening isn’t going to tip them over the edge.

It sounds like a creditable enough story on the worrying elements of AI and how it is responding to users who ask them questions/use them as a sounding board. I suspect AI is the issue and not TN+.

I disagree. Denham’s the one asking the questions and even the AI was like ‘Stop it’s going to the boundaries of what is acceptable’. Even Denham himself mentioned that if this wasn’t a report then the police would have a word with him, so it sounds like even he’s aware of how dangerous this could be.

Doesn’t mean that it’s a good influence. It might be informative but it’s also not something that they should be proud of showing.
