Nitpicking here but I wish they’d stick to the Melbourne cityscape (perhaps extremely darkened) on the fake windows, for consistency, rather than putting News+ logos on them. Still looks great though.

There was another article in The Australian a few days ago titled: “No viewers? No worries!”
Ten’s top brass couldn’t care less about having to run additional “make good” ads.
Network sources said the station was already having so much trouble filling the ad breaks in its better-performing timeslots, it actually had more than enough room to accommodate repeats.
Not only that, 10 News+ is so cheap to make in comparison to The Project … the drastic dip in viewers is actually offset by some rather considerable savings.
We’re not sure if this is good news for the future of 10News+ … or really bad news for the future of Ten.

Here’s the gist.
The flummoxing decision has riled up some senior staff in the company’s Pyrmont HQ, who are calling it “disgraceful” and the kind of move executives should lose their jobs over.
Now the wheels are in motion to cut the show to just 30 minutes in the new year, with further adjustments on the way, senior executives say. That’s if it isn’t cut completely, with Ten also having to find space for Millionaire Hot Seat, which has been brought over from Nine.
The only thing stopping an early call being made on the news show at this stage is pride.
Legendary news boss Peter Meakin tells On Background, that if the ratings of 10 News+ are correct, “I don’t think the network can live with it for long”.
Therefore we can confirm one thing: 10N+ is back in 2026.
God help us.
Wtf? Having to find space? So they commissioned a show and ordered over 100 episodes and they don’t have a slot for it? That’s some really bad decision making there. Of course we know there’s room if they axed News+ but it doesn’t sound like that was the plan before commissioning Hot Seat?
