For anyone in Adelaide, how do they handle any sports previews or tease for sports?
Does the newsreader tease the sports stories coming up, and the sports reader just appears after the break?

Last night:
There are no issues crossing to the newsroom?
Itâs possible that those issues they had at the beginning have been long-resolved; because I also remember them being unable to cross between presenters when Adelaide anchored the bulletin.
The only difference is that they wonât cross back to Tiff after sport; as they have no capability of both sharing the desk.
(Donât ask me how many ads I had to sit through just to grab these caps )
Sharyn doesnât miss a beat, her teleprompter after the 3rd story presumably showed the same intro to the previous story - after realising she quickly apologied and moved on using her notes until the prompter caught up.
Often wondered why Qld doesnât do a sports preview in Brisbane, they could easily do theirs from the newsroom.
Believe most other markets do this earlier in the bulletin?
I asked (I think it was Josh Holt) this question many, many years ago and was told that QLD care more about the weather than sports.
I hate the sport preview. We have one before the break, thatâs enough. The early weather check has some meat to it.
Generally itâs a 50/50 if they do a proper cross to the newsroom, or if the newsreader does it, then Max appears after the break.
Sandra Sully features on tonightâs episode of Iâm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, providing news updates to the seven remaining campmates.
I always look forward to Sandraâs update to see which news items were provided to celebrities in the jungle.
Early weather check is nice, unless you watch for sports you can check out at 5.30 if youâve got plans or things on.
Havenât seen that before like that - looks much, much better.
The four news items Sandra told the remaining campmates were:
Items that were omitted (at least to the audience) included Australian Open tennis results, Australian menâs team winning the test series in Sri Lanka, the NFL Super Bowl, the Californian wildfires, as well as the fatal Washington air crash and the deaths of former AFL players Troy Selwood and Adam Hunter.
Sounds depressing. I doubt they need to have all that bad news piled on them and hardly need every sport result too.
Love Tiff as a weather presenter.
As a news anchor though, not as much.
Iâd rather see Josh on news and Tiff stay on weather.
Looks like Brisbane has some new backdrops for crosses to the newsroom and during updates etc.
Not sure if itâs live or not, but I liked it. Wouldnât mind if they trialled it behind Sharyn.
The lighting for that newsroom cross needs to be adjusted though, itâs quite dull.
Big ratings night for the Sydney bulletin. There was one night earlier this year and just a few over the previous 2 years but not high enough then to equal The Chase and beat Seven in the demos.
