No it wasn’t. Both segments were hybrid to both markets during the winter months.
Someone felt like being extremely creative with the angles on Midday today.
Haven’t seen a bunch of these before - looked great on air!

Trialling next week’s return of a local bulletin using a VR greenscreen set. Seven Perth take note.
Live from our Moon Headquarters this is Seven News with Rick Ardon and Susannah Carr.
I imagine Rick will be on the moon, and Susannah will in Perth with a huge desk in between…
I noticed that the news promos have ramped up over the last couple of weeks - every couple of ad breaks and in prime time. Unfortunately not with anything compelling - just the 10 secs of 12, 3.30 and 5pm bulletins. No real reason to tune in except that they exist.
in primetime?! Unheard of for 10 to have news promos run during this time!
Good to see at least
Now that we are in April, it does make you wonder about what’s happing with the Late News.
I honestly think the original intention was to do it from Perth with Charlotte Goodlet - then Paramount swung the axe and she left the network.
Honestly think a local Queensland bulletin should be higher priority though - wonder how they’ll manage tonight’s 5PM bulletin.
Weren’t they hiring a producer for the bulletin earlier this year?
Yeah a hybrid producer / social media person.
Not sure if they ever filled the vacancy.
To be honest I agree with you. There is an excellent free agent up there by the name of Kendall Gilding…
Only now has my dumb brain worked out why they originally combined the bulletins the way they did (Sydney/Brisbane and Adelaide/Melbourne). It’s all thanks to the Barassi line…
Wrong. CG wasn’t going to be hosting the late news.
You seem to be in the know. Has the late news been dumped?
Care to explain? I only made an assumption based on the events that transpired within Paramount. What was/is the Late News plan?
I think its gone.
The use of the word “wasn’t” is past tense.
“Wasn’t” could also refer to the fact that she is no longer with the network. Reading too deep now
It sounds dumped to me.
I do agree though
