Has 10News+ been axed from Sundays?

Hopefully

What would air 6:30 Sunday?

The Sunday Project…. I’m only joking

Sounds like it.

Could air from 6:30 Sundays in its new 30 min format?

Or, if it is gone, wouldn’t be the first time their entertainment schedule started at 6:30 on Sundays.

Exactly what late news should be for those that want a re-cap at the end of the day.

I hope they don’t mess around too much with 10’s Late News. I love the simpleness and compact format of the no-set bulletin. Tight head shot, intimate, to the point, “all the news I need”. I think it works for that timeslot. My only suggestion would be to own that 10pm start time, like it does at 5. Shows work around it. Become appointment viewing.

I think moving to an hour at that point of the night is insane.
It’s a nightcap - people go to bed after the bulletin and if it’s an hour, they might not bother at all.

Interesting opening angle to last night’s Melbourne news

Who watches 10 for news anyways? Every 6 months their offerings change. I wonder why there are no loyal viewers.

To be fair their offerings have been pretty consistent for the last year excluding the unloved middle child 10News+

Technical issues in Sydney tonight? Josh and Sandra both presenting from the desk. No local background graphics.

Was there not a similar issue just the other day on one of the national bulletins?

That was a lack of captions; that wasn’t a problem tonight.

Don’t know if it is even possible to create appointment viewing in this day and age that isn’t already there.

Diary can reveal Australian television’s forgotten child held secret talks with both Seven and Nine about taking on responsibility for producing the network’s news coverage a few years back.

As part of the proposal, Ten would have closed all of its nation-wide newsrooms and instead had every single one of its bulletins produced by one of its fellow free-to-air broadcasters.

Although some of Ten’s best-known names – such as Sandra Sully and Hugh Riminton – would have been retained under the plan and used to front key news bulletins in a bid to retain Ten’s “sense of ownership” of the programming, pretty much all of the stories presented in them would have been filed by reporters who were actually working for rival outlets.

The Australian also claimed it would’ve costed $15 million, however, when it asked 10, they said that it is all pure speculation, then proceeded to say that they believe them :person_shrugging:

I cannot see this working from a logistic point of view.

I assume this was a proposal in 2020?
