Didn’t that end now that Brisbane has their own studio and don’t need to pre-record segments in the Sydney studio?
No it’s still a problem because of the shared control rooms. We’re not sure if 10 has introduced new control rooms in Sydney/Melbourne to accommodate the extra bulletin being fully live

Nope. Same control room. So they record the back 35mins ish prior to 5pm. Only segments 1 and 2 in Brisbane are live during standard time.
This is because the Adelaide news takes over live at 5:30pm est (5pm central).

I’d be very surprised to see any form of new control room from 10 to do Brisbane fully live

10 News QLD was indeed back to the standard time format with only the first 30 minutes of the bulletin live. While a live weather cross featured early in the bulletin, the final segment was delayed weather ending with the start of 10 News+ (as in other markets)

Going into the third year of this arrangement. Seems like there is no intention to change it,
But now it’s 
presented from Brisbane!

You wouldn’t want an earth shattering breaking news story to occur during that delayed part. 10 Brisbane would be missing in action. Not to mention its poor form for an Olympic city.

Well if it’s a city that’s going to be on a global stage yet it still apparantly only worth 30 minutes of live and local news a day according to 10!

Given Brisbane is focus in the lead up to the games over the next few years, you’d think the third biggest market in the country can get 1 hour of live local news from one of the main commercial broadcasters.
10 should be focused on growing markets not hampering growth with delayed news.
10/10 News will be lucky to still be going when the Olympics arrive at this rate.

A 30 second promo that I’ve seen a couple of times. Longer versions aired earlier in the year.
Same tag line (and with the white 10 News+ logo) We just don’t read the news. We live and breathe it all day everyday and into the night.

Just to go back to this if I may.
I completely agree with you that it is not ideal. I agree that if major news breaks from 5:30pm to 6pm that they can’t get it to air and that isn’t ideal.
What we do have to remember though, with daylight savings in NSW now it does align the time zones, meaning, 10 News + is live in QLD at 6pm, allowing them to cover anything major that Sharyn and the team can’t broadcast.
Like I said, not ideal, but they do have that option if it ever happens.
