The current season is currently on a three-week break in USA, with the next new episode (S22E15) scheduled for March 24 on CBS. If 10 continues to show one new episode per week, it will be one week behind USA (and Paramount+ here) by the time episode 15 airs on April 1.

NCIS: Origins returns soon.
My understanding is that 10 will move straight into S2 of Elsbeth

Seems a weak line up after Sam Pang Tonight. Even a Just For Laughs repeat could have got viewers to keep watching longer.

Must be budgetary coming into end of financial year. Don’t want to spend on rights fees. Should also mean Home Shopping runs from midnight.

I dont see why Ten doesnt screen Home shopping during the day on 10Peach or on 10Bold after 8am weekdays and cut some of the late night infomercials. For someone like me that doesnt get home from work until 1am on Monday night/Tuesday morning this means the one channel i wont turn to is the 10 channels as all 3 have home shopping on them at 1am in Northern NSW. I will most likely be tuning into NBN Nine or ABC on that night

Because there are more people watching during the day and they can attract advertisers for commercial breaks.

They are obviously not attracting viewers at night so an infomercial is the only thing financially viable at that time. It’s unaffordable to spend money on programs and not attract the advertising to pay for it.

People still are watching TV at midnight. Ten will continue to lag with this type of programming. Given the weak morning schedule, Ten would be better off pushing CBS This Morning to a 5am start Monday to Friday and not start Home Shopping until 1am each day

How come 10 never air soccer Game 1 on 10Bold and Game 2 on 10 (or vice-versa) depending on market because then that solves Saturday and then Love it or List it can air on a Friday

They tried A-League on the main channel when they first got the rights and it was a dismal failure.

Disappointing. If only A-League still held something for broadcast audiences in the eyes of programmers today it could solve a few of 10’s network holes. Have always found it odd why so much of soccer is shafted to 10play or P+. Guess that explains it.

I wouldn’t say it’s about shafting content anywhere, it’s airing it where the available audience is and trying to monetize it where possible.

The general audience numbers don’t support A-League being on the main channel as mentioned above, however Matildas and Socceroos still do well enough in primetime on 10 for the games that air on FTA and they’ll move programming to suit - like Gogglebox this week.

Fair enough, it’s just as a third-placed commerical network that already has smaller reach you’d air your product where the most eyeballs are available, as wouldn’t 10 have a more eyeballs, therefore a higher available audience than a smaller multi of 10Bold that is mostly repeats like Peach? Or am I not quite understanding it?

10 probably hoped football was the answer to their Saturday night woes, but as mentioned above they persisted with it on the main channel for a year and it didn’t work.

Their audience share took a beating as a result, if memory serves me correctly it was often behind SBS and, and was likely detrimental to their bottom line.

Airing the men’s games on Bold is the best comprise, keeps it available for people to watch for free, in HD in metro areas, with all games available on P+ for a low entry price.

Then they can focus on lifestyle / factual shows on the main channel on Saturdays which is about as good as it’s going to get now.

Maybe 10 could repeat the second season of The Inspired Unemployed (Impractical) Jokers after Sam Pang each week if they are struggling for programming content/financial costs?

Although 10s late news could use the boost off the good lead-in
Wonder if 10 could pick up FTA rights for Brooklyn 99 - that could back on well running old episodes after Pang.

10 is expected to relaunch Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, as a series of primetime specials. No host has been announced.

If true, will it work out for the best? And be a ratings juggernaut it once was?

Eddie McGuire’s media company holds the format rights in Australia don’t they? And McGuire has appeared on 10 recently as the host of the Melbourne Cup Carnival, so I wouldn’t rule out Eddie as host.
