I agree. I’ve been saying this all along also. FTA is news, sports, and the random special (the Logies, NYE, etc). Drama is sadly dead on FTA.
ABC has plenty of drama, but they put all of them on iview before their airing on fta. I don’t like that idea, but it is what it is.
Why 10 don’t promote Five Bedrooms is silly. Promote everything, i say.

The Lion King is a 30 year old movie most people have already seen, it’s not like they are licensing their new content (Inside Out 2, Turning Red).
Besides, it will probably be part of the deal that Disney+ ads run during the movie.
Yes, it’s more just the point they’re doing so, it’s intriguing. In contrast to 4 years ago when everything was Disney Plus exclusive and even the Nine/Stan and long-time Foxtel deals were abruptly terminated (or intentionally expired) at D+ launch. During that period, COVID, the only Disney titles outside of D+ were on broadcast TV (Ten and Seven) from a pre-existing and legacy licence agreements.
The Walt Disney Company globally clearly changed their minds completely on their strategies, I think as their svod service started to become not as profitable as first forecast or performed initially, so went back into the widespread licencing game, starting with Seven in late 2020 with a new deal and more so last year with Netflix and back with Nine/Stan including Fox titles this time and now it appears 10 again. As you mentioned though, Disney do seem to still be protective of Walt Disney Pictures / Pixar titles that are brand new, keeping their windows exclusive to buy (tvod) and D+ (svod) only, of course the studio no longer prints physically home media nor do they allow renting on tvod for any title at all, as well as no presence on Pay TV since 2019.
Just for Australia and NZ markets. You can still buy Blu-rays and DVDs from overseas online.

You can still buy them in Australia, both in store and online, such as JB, but that’d be already printed stock just sitting around, many possibly years old, in Disney Australia’s distributor’s warehouse and retailers’ distribution centres and once they’re gone they’re gone. If somebody wanted an Australian Region 4 version no longer available, I’m sure eBay would have countless supply including new.
I am talking about new home media releases, such as Marvel’s Deadpool and Wolverine.

According to on screen watermark shown during Taskmaster tonight, The Dog House Australia (Sunday 7pm) has been replaced by Dessert Masters.
The EPG now has episode 4 on Sunday and 5 on Monday.
Viewers weren’t fooled by last week’s Dog House. It ended up being three previously seen but unremarkable adoptions in full. There was a minute or so of video tacked onto the end of two updating their status and the third there was only still images that lasted less than 15 seconds. I doubt that fans of the show would have watched a second time.

I can confirm that season 2 episode 5 of Sort Your Life Out will be skipped in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. 10 has no plans to play the episode elsewhere or double up the following week. It just simply won’t air within this run of episodes.
Hopefully it will still be able on 10 Play.

Very annoying. They usually encore SYLO 10.30 Friday mornings but a Top Gear Australia encore is scheduled in that slot this Friday.
Jamie Oliver’s latest cooking show Fast and Simple starts Friday, November 15, at 7.30pm. This is a 3-part series which premiered on Channel 4 UK in October.
The dishes demonstrated in the show are taken from Jamie Oliver’s book Simply Jamie, available in bookshops and Big W now, however the recipes can also be found at his website.
