Ten Network - Programs and Schedules

Any particularly convincing reasons why?

Well, Paramount ANZ needs all the income it can get from the commercials given the recent redundancies at the company.

Let’s say each ad break has 6 commercials and 4 program promos. How about 8 commercials and 2 promos?

That’s a matter for advertisers whether they want to promote their brands on 10.

Besides, 10 and most networks seem to follow that structure anyway. 8-10 ads with 2 (10 sometimes squeezes 3) promos.

I think you’ll find more promos are run when they can’t sell the advertising space. You’ll often notice ib late night or daytime programs, they run a lot more promos and community service announcements than ads.⁸

Additionally if a promo is run that doesn’t include the day/time of the promo it doesn’t count as part of the advertising quota for the night (even if the promo ends and then there is a day/time mentioned immediately after).

So the The Graham Norton Show has its ‘season final’ tonight. However, next week (8th Mark) there will be a new episode (ep 7) that never aired earlier in the season. It was pulled last minute from the schedule. Then the following 2 weeks will be the ‘compilation’ episode. That will then officially mark the end of the season.

Any reason?

If I can stretch my mind that far back, I believe it was the P Diddy episode and a few days before airing some allegation came out about him and 10 pulled the episode.

I don’t follow P Diddy so couldn’t give you the circumstances

Yep, P. Diddy was one of the guests on episode 7, which premiered on the BBC on November 10 last year.

There’s been new allegations in recent days - might be best they bin that one entirely.

They just do the same thing every week and wonder why nothing changes? Seriously who’s watching 3 episodes in a row of FBIs. And all repeats except for 1.

Bing back the endless Bull repeats in the mix, and life would be complete :stuck_out_tongue:

All good CBS content. Could be much much worse.

Why don’t we have Q1 versions of shows such as Cheap Seats, TGYH, HYBPA, TaskMaster etc.

I get these shows can’t air all year around but commission and commit to other similar programs.

Q1 every year is just repeat central on 10.

Why not run Colbert at 7.30pm ?

It’s called The Late Show for a reason. To air late… :stuck_out_tongue:

Which is C grade content these days. I would have called it B grade but it runs on Paramount+ first so it’s downgraded.

The endless repeats and no strategy with the schedule in Q1 and they’re continuing to rate worse than the ABC day in day out.

Still more profitable for Paramount than spending and failing.
