Ten Network - Programs and Schedules

How about they show movies on a Saturday Night which is a family movie at 6.30 and a adult movie after 8.30 instead of endless procedural’s like NCIS:LA and FBI:International and get rid of Jamie Oliver from Saturdays and dump it Fridays. New Zealand TV broadcasts family movies on Saturday nights on TVNZ 2 and Three which is a staple among programmers and viewers alike in my home country.

Kinda agree with you.

Doesn’t 7 & 9 when they don’t have always/most of the time show a Saturday night movie?

All acquired content has to be paid for with licensing deals in place to facilitate the agreed broadcast of copyright content.

I would suggest Seven have rights to certain seasons while Ten have others. Whether the ones Ten have will transfer across to Seven, time will tell.

Now that Ten are showing The Bachelors repeats in the afternoon, Entertainment Tonight gets dumped or is cut to shreds. The other day it ran for 10 mins.

At least they are consistently running the full 30 min show next morning now. The only problem is that the 10min version and 30 min version will have the same title/description, so my Fetch box won’t record the full version if it has recorded the half-arsed version.

Is there any way that Ten can alter the descriptions of the program, so my recorder can record both?
For example Entertainment Tonight S42 E87 PM and Entertainment Tonight S42 E87 AM

I get that it’s still off-season, but seriously this is the channel’s entire drama output, all US procedurals in 2, 3, 4 hour slabs.

Can’t Fetch record all versions of programs?

No, it won’t record repeats. So if a show is screened two or three times, it will only record the first screening. It’s based on episode number. That way, if you have set up The Project in Record Series, it will record at 6.30pm and not the repeat at 11/11.30pm.

Unfortunately if Ten decide to screen a 10 minute version of Entertainment Tonight in the afternoon, it will record that but not record the 30 minute version next morning because they have both been labelled with the same episode number.

The only way possible is to permanently delete the recording from Deleted Items to allow the repeat to be recorded. That’s annoying because you have to delete all recordings, so you can’t retrieve anything, if you want to go back and look at something a few days later. My old PVR let you permanently delete selected recordings but Fetch forces you to permanently delete all recordings.

Why oh why?? It ended two years ago but they still schedule this shit in prime time.

10:15pm is hardly primetime. I don’t see the problem here. Sure, it’s not ideal programming but no one is watching FTA at that time anyway.

Cheap content from CBS. What else do they have in the cupboard to air?

They can air The Project repeat an hour earlier, so The Late Show can air at an earlier time (as its new content). Thus meaning that Home Shopping can get an extra hour’s in revenue…

Strange how Ten are showing the episodes of Ghosts out of order. Tonight we had episodes 8 and 11 from season 2. Last week we had episode 7. The Christmas episodes which were episodes 9 and 10 were shown weeks ago.

I can understand that they wanted to show those closer to Christmas but there are slight continuity problems to the ongoing storylines when they do that. It’s annoying.

Why oh why do we have 3x2 hour episodes of Survivor…. Fuck me dead :smiling_face_with_tear:

On par with Seven’s Idol schedule and Nine’s MAFS that has 2 x 2-hour and 2 x 90 minute episodes. Welcome to Australian Commercial FTA.
