Wasn’t This is Us the only show really rating for Ten that was new US stuff? Modern Family new was rating below This is Us ?

Mr Ross would not confirm which other shows have been picked up by the network, but there is speculation it might have bought rights for Modern Family, which was in the previous Ten contract, and new medical drama The Resident.

After generating blockbuster television ratings in the US, This Is Us has recently received critical commendation at the Screen Actors Guild Awards with two wins – Outstanding Performance By An Ensemble In A Drama Series and Sterling K. Brown for Outstanding Performance By A Male Actor In A Drama Series. In addition Sterling K. Brown took home the Golden Globe earlier this month for Best Performance By An Actor In A Television Series Drama.

A lot of American shows dominating the beginning of the year again. Pity they couldn’t air at least one more of their Australian shows they have lined up.
True, but with Ten overrunning I’m a Celebrity on most nights to a near 9pm or later finish does it make sense to be launching other new shows so early in the year?
They’ve still got a number of weeks to fill with content between Celebrity finishing and MasterChef returning - I doubt that Bach in Paradise is the sole answer to filling that gap so might be wise to hold off on some content to cover them for early prime-time.

Guy Sebastian has a phenomenal voice. He just sang “Bloodstone” live and he sounded like he does on the recording and it was amazing.
He deserves more recognition.
Some good use of drone footage in a live telecast at the beginning of the concert. This will rate poorly like it always does.
