Enough of your logic, @TelevisionAU. MOTORSPOOOOORT
I’m sure some of this thinking will change once cbs get a hold on the fucked up pracitces At ten.
I’m sure they won’t be doing anything William suggests or likes.
we will see come Adelaide 500, as the race is scheduled to finish just before 6pm Saturday & Sunday for Sydney & Melbourne viewers.
Have moved a handful of posts from here into Eleven - Progs and Scheds. And another two into mock schedules.
Then move the news or sport somewhere else.
The world doesn’t shut down just because Ten has some second-class sports.
Maybe Ten could delay news by up to 2 hours when that occurs and shorten the news to be no less than half hour if it airs after 6pm at night… If its a double header in Cricket like on Monday, switch game 2 to One and air general viewing for the duration.
As an example the First Big Bash games ends in Perth at 6:15pm on Monday… Under my idea, Ten News could air 6:15pm and end it at 7pm, then screen some general viewing and then full replay at 9:30pm on Ten. At 6:15pm One would take up game 2 in Perth and screen til 10:00pm
All these ideas about Ten News forget one thing. Ten doesn’t value its news content and neither do its advertisers/viewers.
Why would they bother preempting prime time content in order to ‘make up’ for a lost bulletin due to sport earlier in the day when that will make the more money. As important as we think it might be to have a daily news service in our Media Spy world, Ten clearly disagrees.
I though that said Nock schedules for a moment…
I have to disagree about Ten’s attitude on the basis of one thing - the hiring on more journalists… Ten are looking to improve their position in the news market… Why else would you spend more on news resources if they weren’t looking to change things.
They aren’t looking at a quick fix, but more long term solutions… A 10 minute noodle update for those markets that lose their normal bulletin would suffice for some of their viewers for the time being
We think they’re new resources but we don’t know if people have left etc or are still working out their notice while replacements are appointed.
it could may well be replacements, as in 2 cities, 2 people have left the network. Aka Adam Hawse and Rebecca Munro.
A lot of freelancers are currently working around the country in the newsrooms as heaps of people have left Ten during administration period.

Gives me a headache reading Tens Guide while the cricket is on. So confused.
Bull returns at 7.30pm on January 14 and plus Wisdom of the Crowd returns at 8.30
Ten persisting with low rating content with the latter being axed by cbs anyway. I don’t really know why they bother.
