A new season of Law & Order: SVU will join the Sunday line-up soon

As noted, reality encores are back in the morning line-up with I’m A Celebrity timed to finish at midday Monday- Thursday plus Saturday. David Attenborough’s Parenthood will also encore on Friday.

I know its against the Australian Open (week 1), but a fairly competitive week. I’m A Celeb should draw in some audience. NCIS Sydney Season 2 finally gets an airing - on Sunday night.

New episodes of Matlock on Monday and Tuesday, as well as Elsbeth on Wednesday night. And new run programs on Thursday night with David Attenborough and The Graham Norton SHow.

I wonder why they’re airing two new episodes of Deal at 7pm Monday and Wednesday when it’s new timeslot will be 6:30pm once millionaire comes into the schedule. You’d think they’d hold off until it starts so they can align. Surely they’ll be airing more than two new episodes of Deal each week.

The Friday repeat schedule continues it seems. Such a disaster.

And it’s good that late news starts at 10pm consistently except Thursdays and Fridays for some weird reason. And I thought it was going to be 1 hour each night.

Should have commissioned a new Bondi Vet type show, and had that at 7:30 Thursday, with David Attenborough at 8. Would have meant 10 Late News is consistent Monday through Thursday.

If Aaron is right about SVU, it should be Thursday night as a new episode. Demo would be more consistent with lead in.

New NCIS should be Tuesday instead of a Matlock double up.

In order to not canibalise programs across Friday and Saturday, they should have one of those evenings as a crime doco night.

Earlier/expanded late news from early Feb.

I don’t think Matlock will be on both Monday and Tuesday nights for long. So far only eight episodes of season two had been shown in the US before the winter break.

I reckon 10 will only show a couple of episodes of Matlock on Monday nights, before the new season of Sam Pang Tonight begins.

Interesting scheduling move for SVU though. I feel it has neglected in the Thursday night timeslot.

They’ve treated SVU poorly for years, various timeslots, holding back episodes, continued repeats etc.

Didn’t they air it on Wednesday nights at some point too?

I believe the Matlock thing is to get through the eps with the anticipation of the Working Dog shows returning. If they air Matlock on Mondays and NCIS on Tuesday - each show would get around 8 episodes and then be ripped out of the schedule.

I encountered this while channel surfing today and also found it enjoyable!

Saw Finish Line at 2.30pm today. Was quite enjoyable to watch, good replacement for Lingo at 2.30pm which I watched often. Bit annoying Lingo is at 3.30pm now but oh well it does align with it’s weekend timeslot

The host of Finish Line is Roman Kemp, son of 80s pop star and actor Martin Kemp and 80s pop star Shirlie Holliman (Kemp).

Oops. Typo. Thanks.

Any word if 10 are returning the US version of Wheel of Fortune to daytime or are we going to be subjected to the millionth rerun of deal or no deal?

Sony probably pulled the rights when they took over international distribution December 1st last year.

Ahh yes that’s right. Probably back on a junk channel on foxtel.

I know the this is probably more suited to mock schedules, but I think 10 should look to more light entertainment and game shows from the UK, the US and Canada in between programs to meet Australian quota requirements

Perhaps 10 could try and secure the US version of The Price Is Right or Let’s Make A Deal. This could screen at midday weekdays with the current 10am to 12:30pm shows moving up half an hour with the cooking show at midday going to 11:30am and Family Feud USA at either 2pm and 9am weekdays, with Hot Seat taking one of the two slots. Deal Or No Deal repeats should be at 6:30am.

Lingo repeat could be at 8am (assuming they cant get both of those US game shows above).

More shows from overseas do not help them “meet Australian quota requirements”. They need more Australian content to do that.

I think they have more than enough foreign game shows, as it is. We don’t need more.
