Work experience?
Also live cross to Eammon on Sunday Project tonight.
Ten’s plasma backdrops used to be such a treat, they’ve gone downhill. That us open one is just plain awful.
Looks very basic and cheap looking. Could’ve made a nice continuous image.
How long has Ten been airing sports updates on One? This one was by Marty Burke and had a usual One endboard style graphic with ‘Sports Update’ and was sponsored by Ladbrokes - there was a proud sponsor intro, Ladbrokes sponsor board at the end and then followed by an ad for them.
At least as far back as 2013.
Although I haven’t got any clips from that era on hand, I think they might be are a legacy of the days One HD (as it was branded as and broadcasting in back then) was a 24/7 sports channel?
Wow okay, I thought it might’ve been something new. Is it a regular thing that they do? Can’t believe I haven’t seen one of them before.
I’m in the same boat as you, I’ve also never seen one
Correct… thats when they came in.
I’m sure they stopped for a while though. Could be part of that push for Sports Tonight recognition…?
It’d be on One because that’s male skewed.
As an aside, why not run news updates and promos on the multichannels as a quick means to get more exposure?
ST-branded sports updates on One would be an interesting idea. As would a similar format for a ST preview in the weekend evening news.
Perth had a redone top of the bulletin to counter in local footy match
Perth are getting a lot more redos for Perth market on weekends which is a great sign!
Full Perth bulletin coming soon??
Not sure?
Personally, I hope Ten will eventually (with an emphasis on that word - yes I’m well aware that the rebuilding process is going to take time) re-instate local news bulletins on the weekends in all five metro markets.
Such a move might even put some pressure on Seven and Nine to eventually localise the semi-national 5pm bulletins they air on the weekend, with both networks having already localised the weekday 4pm bulletins in recent years.
Different opener in Sydney tonight
