10 Darwin has always had some kind of local presentation. I’m surprised the team behind it hasn’t been cut honestly. Scroll further up in the thread.
How is 10 unable to put something together but one of their regional stations is able to do something itself.
Baffles me sometimes. Good job 10 Darwin.
Tightarse Ten not bothering with anything it seems.
I just hope Ten Darwin is safe when WIN buys 9 Darwin. I won’t be surprised to see it suffer the same fate as Mildura Digital Television. I sure hope not!

Is this the first time 10 Darwin has had breakaway programs and dropping news plus?
Or is that a relay of 10 Brisbane, which is running to the same schedule?
10 Darwin is relaying the Brisbane schedule for this Sunday.
When The Project was still in the schedule, 10 Darwin would have breakaway programming for Socceroos and Matildas matches.
Being Seven manages the playout for Ten Darwin, it maybe safely away from the clutches of WIN, who knows?
If there was any practical media regulation in this country, the BSA Section 73A is extremely clear, WIN aren’t the person that were in control of the license at the point it was allocated, and therefore they couldn’t be sold Nine’s share without breaching the 1 channel per market rule.
I hold no hope that anyone with the power to enforce that will notice or care, with the only real hope that Nine just forget to do anything. But yeah, if WIN do end up getting it shut down, it’ll be good to know that they could have been stopped.
Considering Nine Darwin probably only generates $100-200k profit a year based on the sale price despite cutting the previous news bulletin out twice, DDT must be running at a loss like CDT and many others. Might just be what the operation needs to build a little bid of stability back and secure the local news updates for at least a few years down the track.
But it’ll be up to the joint owners Seven and WIN as to if they want to continue spending good money after bad.
If both DDT and CDT end up shut down Mildura can kiss good bye to ten except via 10 play as will Darwin and central Australia
Mildura already did last year.
Yeah via MDT, some people can get VAST in Mildura but it doesn’t come cheap. VAST also includes CDT.
Other markets would end up in the same boat like Mildura with VAST.
I imagine CDT would have a bit of government funding behind it being the service of last resort and half-funded by the grant and government funding-reliant Imparja
Correct as VAST is mostly funded by the Fed Govt.
I wonder how many people actually have Vast In Mildura, I think channel 10 can also be seen through Foxtel.
About $800 to get VAST Installed.
Yes & so does WDT the feds had to bail them out a few years ago to stop them from going off-air like Mildura.
