I wish there was a blooper tape that let’s listeners hear why callers get dumped, Matt Roberts and Dave cochrane have to do it a lot, then play a track to build up delay again. Heavily medicated callers after a drink or 3 aren’t a safe option for free speech radio.

Matt Roberts and some “regular callers “ are off to podcast world ,that’s my opinion.

They broadcast on delay so if something bad gets said they dump that section of time, as I understand they then play a track to catch the delay back up. One of the presenters explained something like that ,but there would be someone round here that would know how it works for sure.
I find it funny when some old lady gets on a big rant and says something so bad they have to dump the call, very common on SRN, never seems to happen on ABC.

Those two shows are chalk and cheese.
When Peter Bosley was on Sports Today it was a professional well presented show, he had a range of very capable co-hosts who actually knew something about sport, probably best was when Andrew Moore was on with him.
At some stage Graeme was presenting an ok show, especially when it was on over the weekend and he was on his own but that’s a very long time ago.

That’s an interesting take. I might be less conspiratorial, but I assume it’s accidental bad language .
All stations have different demographics, I’d say 2RE listeners use bad language in general conversation more, I know I do No offence !
Other stations have gatekeepers too that answer the phone. I’ve phoned 3 shows in the last 3 months and got the actual presenter EVERY time ! I was in shock

Seems to be a copy writer doing their thing on the network now the presenters are reading the copy as best they can. Still great music from dave cochrane but maybe buy a bigger tablet so they can read the script smoothly.
I don’t know how Dave Cochrane does it, he covers every shift as necessary as well as his other work and life .he’s a radio trooper for sure .
And he puts up with the callers. Champ!!!

Unsure if it has already been mentioned - BOG FM stations take Will & Woody best bits overnight (mid-dawn).
Do many still take Will & Woody at Drive on BOG FM stations? I thought BOG’s ARN agreement finished up.

The live listening does not work ,but it’s bog so I’m not surprised.
Play button doesn’t work, however the website code has the direct stream link which does work

I wonder if this is permanent or if we’ll see SRN do a deal with either LiSTNR or iHeart?
Hopefully they roll streaming out to some of the regional centres, though I’m not holding my breath. Would love to listen to 2RE as well as @hatdj on NOW on occasion (unfortunately, even the Mighty Mount Dowe can’t overcome 2XX).
The stream is hit and miss. Sometimes works, then the stream drops off, cutting out often.
