Triple M Central West’s coverage area is Orange, Bathurst, Lithgow, etc, and with the Triple M signal getting in so well into Bathurst it doesn’t make any sense why they shouldn’t rock Bathurst during the Supercars.

To be fair, Coffs Harbour was nothing more than a tiny, sleepy timber town back in the 1930s. It only really started to get a name for itself in the 1960s
Nothing like an anti Labor petition promotion to bring all the usual callers out to fill the void of no content, they seem to try for a while to have guests and interesting stuff, but then the fingers slip and they fall right back into old 1945 reds under the beds stuff.

Aren’t they taking the Grand Final today, or are they only doing the men’s game. I’m sure I heard a promo on HD the other day that said they were. Would have thought they could make a little money from it, but I guess talk for people with Albo Derangement Syndrome makes them feel better.
I don’t know what sport they take but by God, the nonsense is ridiculous.

Yet another new talk presenter at the Zooper Dooper Network, NEW FM workday jock (at least I think it’s the same one) Dave Wright is moonlighting on King’s Birthday networked breakfast, with a refreshingly (so-far) non-Albo Derangement Syndrome show.

Just found this while browsing the net, it’s a 1997 imaging demo for K-Earfh 101 in Los Angeles, which also seems to be the package the SRN uses. Amazed that they’re still using a almost 30 year old imaging package, though I suppose it matches the rest of the station.

I’m in Temora at the moment and the local translator of 2LF sounds very overmodulated. It was like that when I was last here a few weeks ago too but I wasn’t here that long and thought it might be transient. But it’s not.
I wonder if the 2SM stream will have heavy static under Chris Smith again today like it did yesterday? Edit: Nope, no static today.

It was like that when I was there too earlier this year. I recall another member made the same observation a couple of years ago too.
2LF was worse than Roccy FM - it’s practically unlistenable, Roccy FM was somewhat tolerable audio quality wise, but not great. I’m amazed it’s been like this for so long.

Gary is still listed on the SRN websites - although I do understand that this should not be taken as gospel.
I know it’s easy to think someone is gone if we don’t hear them for a couple of weeks, but….
Could it be - the slightest possibility that Gary is on annual leave?

Low paid presenters + lack of knowledge + skeleton staff is going to equal junk radio which is what most of the talk stations on SRN are.

Automation no good . Us oldies like the company and like to hear a voice that’s live to air .
You can tell when it’s a pre record and it’s radio without a soul. A lot are doing it now across all networks
