Why was there no cross to the dawn service at Perth’s Kings Park?

Come on, you should know by now that Sunrise doesn’t really care about WA, even though they probably should!!!

If you’ve seen one Anzac dawn service in Australia, you’ve seen them all.

I can’t imagine the Perth service being radically different to the ones in Sydney or Melbourne.

Sunrise looked very nice this morning. The desk is great and the graphics were nice.

It looked like they used the same desk as they used for the Commonwealth Games two weeks ago also on the Gold Coast.

Who cares why… it’s a great combo.

The MC at Currumbin this morning thanked 7 for their ongoing support telecasting the service.

Loved the colour of the graphics

That’s cause it is, as was already mentioned earlier.

Maybe due to Matt Tinney presenting local updates each half hour (like normal) with live crosses to the services for Perth.

The telecast is actually a bit of a contentious issue with the local community. Many locals no longer attend the dawn service and the local RSL has received flack for how commercialised and drawn out the service has become.

The whole lower third looked nicer, if you ask me. For ANZAC Day segments, the blue gradient was removed and then the headline text wasn’t blue all morning either. In all, the whole lower third looked more colour coordinated. I grabbed this cap which shows the everyday headline background scrolling in:

And for what it is worth, here’s one showing a name (also used for Sunrise reporters, etc)

Because at that time (6:26 EST) it was 4:26 in Perth & their Dawn Services were not happening for another 1.1/2 hours

Prince William nods off during a church service (who hasn’t?), and Sunrise thinks that is worthy of a two minute discussion.

You do realise that they have four hours of inane conversations every day. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I think you might find he is referring to Sunrise doing a similar thing as what they do every half hour from 7am in WA on weekdays and cross live to Matt Tinney at around 6:26 in WA so he could throw to the Perth dawn service and just cut out that period of Sunrise in WA for however long the dawn service airs for. I don’t think they would do this for Perth though, knowing Sunrise’s track record for not treating WA viewers fairly as I mentioned earlier.

Kochie has been reprimanded by Seven management for appearing on AFL Footy Show on Thursday night without a prior notice. Kochie was speaking as Port Adelaide chairman and lashed out at the AFL’s handling of the Sam Powell-Pepper controversy after the player was suspended for three matches by the league, after an investigation found he had engaged in conduct “unbecoming for an AFL player by being intoxicated in a public place and by making inappropriate contact with a female” on a night out earlier this month.

Kochie even said his club reserved the right to sue Seven over its reporting. That will be a huge conflict of interest won’t it?

Wow, so Kochie didn’t even get permission (the usual appropriate method) from Seven :open_mouth:

Is he still a Seven ‘golden boy’? Or are things more strained between him and the broadcaster, as media make out?
