Exactly. The whole things embarrassing. Today’s rolling coverage from everyone was so unnecessary.

Really loving Michael Usher being fully utilised, he’s able to jump in and fill in/anchor anything really.

I assume the job is his if he wants it in the post-Kochie era with Andrew O’Keefe tied up with The Chase.

They went live at 7:30am when it was announced all schools across SEQ would close. They went to the news with Nat and then it hard cut to a feed of a the news conference and the usual clock cover up appeared - in the wrong colour of course with the red breaking strap used rather than the usual orange.

Thought they would have been smart enough to have gone live from the outset this morning - still very much a developing situation across Queensland. Oh well, won’t matter next week.

Friday (31.08.17): Nat is co-hosting the coverage of the Flooding Emergency live from Kangaroo Point . Eddy is reading the rest of the day’s news.

And the winner is…WAIKIKI

Sunrise is bound for the home of pristine beaches and luxury resorts.

Sunrise viewers have decided Sam, Kochie, Nat and Beretts will board a flight to Waikiki.

Meanwhile, Sam Mac and the Sunrise weather crew will to come face to face with the world’s most active volcano in Kona.

And Eddy will take Entertainment to Kualoa Ranch where some of Hollywood’s biggest blockbusters were filmed.

Next week Sunrise is on a five-day mystery tour of the USA, a world first, and our biggest ever broadcasting and logistical challenge.

Sunrise will broadcast from a new destination in the USA every day next week as chosen by viewers at home. It’s up to them to decide where they want to go.

Buckle up! Each day will be a new adventure decided by Sunrise viewers and our cameras will capture every minute behind-the-scenes.

The #Sun7USA Mystery Tour airs from Monday 3 April, LIVE from 5.30am all week.
