Like I said, Today just need a boost in Perth and they can win every day
It’d be fascinating to see a YTD / +%- comparisons of Sunrise vs WS vs Today vs WT by market, to try to draw a lot of thoughts, opinions, etc Given Today’s recent success story.
This should do well in Brisbane
Ricki-Lee posted on Instagram that she would perform her new song Ghost on the show on Monday morning.
Idiots.
They should be promoting the hell out of this.
Instead of doing… news and current affairs?
Remember when it was Seven News: Sunrise?
Name the last time they promoted news in their nightly promos. It’s a given they’ll have the news, they need to be promoting the big, exclusive segments.
Well yes but it’s not 2001 anymore.
Think this isn’t the first time but Melbourne reporter, Nathan Currie is in Sydney reporting for the program this morning
Yeah he has been reporting from Sydney all week. It seems strange they need to fly a Melbourne based presenter to Sydney when another Sydney based presenter could be used.
Sunrise finishing today with live coverage of media conference in Niagara Falls. Switching then to The Morning Show with continuing coverage.
Not really. Nathan is resourced under Sunrise, a 7 News reporter isn’t. If they don’t need the two reporters in Melbourne, they can fly one of them elsewhere to cover leave.
Yes but they have never really have had Sunrise reporter in Sydney, they usually rotate presenters from Seven News, the presenter that presents on Canberra politics is a Seven News presenter for the most part so I doubt that is the actual reason it was probably an availability issue
Until about twelve months ago, Sunrise never really had a Sydney correspondent, which was first filled by Mylee Hogan before she moved stateside, at which point Liam Tapper replaced her.
Past reporters Jessica Ridley (nee Dietrich) and Samantha Brett used to share the role between 2017-19; neither remain at the network today.
I barely watch Seven these days so I didn’t notice this… when did Sam leave? Has Adene Cassidy also departed Seven?
Sam Brett left Seven altogether the day after Sunrise relaunched following the (rescheduled) Tokyo Olympics in August 2021.
As for Adene Cassidy - I think she left in either 2017 or 2018.
Brett runs a makeup company now
After working as a journalist and news reporter for almost 20 years, Samantha decided to quit the job she loved and adored to focus on Naked Sundays full-time.
Left Seven in 2019, now Co-Chair of the Australian Ballet Ambassadors Board.
