With Matty Doran all but gone from Seven, I do think they’ve lost a good talent. Perhaps it was more on him (on the down low), knowing what we know now about his wife’s new posting overseas.
I always enjoyed his Crime Investigation Australia episodes, even if re-packaged from Foxtel’s original Steve Liebmann run some 20 years ago. Doran’s style and delivery was always spot on, convincing and clearly fitted the genre, one he’d work in and been passionate about since earlier Ten days in the late 2000s. Hopefully his return to the USA will see him continue down that crime path, as he’s already flagged.
Wonder if Seven will keep the eps on broadcast rotation, there’s quite a lot and a number of seasons and spin-offs. Also heavily featured on 7Plus. They could go back to the Foxtel masters if they have those and just use Liebmann’s.

They desperately need some greenery on this set. This angle is awful, showing the set like that.
Even bring back the fake greenery behind the couch.

Well, they don’t really need to take a shot from this angle. But to me there’s nothing wrong with it for a zoom in or zoom out.

No I agree, it looks dark which isn’t really what you want first thing.
I agree. Hate this angle. I especially hate that yellow angled lightstrip on the left and how there is nothing on that wall. Just doesn’t feel complete.

After Today had its highest rating of the year on Wednesday, Sunrise posted its highest for the year on Thursday. with a huge 430,000. Today was still well above average as well while News Breakfast had its second best rating for the year. Seems like a lot of viewers watching breakfast TV this week.
