Sunrise (2020-Feb 2025)

Ahhh Sarah Greenhalgh… that’s who they should be giving the opportunity to to read the news.

Pair her with Max Futcher in Brisbane for the 6pm news.

Video used on the backdrop this morning rather than just still images.

Hasn’t the quality of set/presentation of Sunrise gone downhill since leaving Martin Place! Now just a carbon copy of Today in a soulless, cold studio. Lost it’s point of difference with viewer interaction. Terrible decision to move.

I do agree. The show has lost a lot of character leaving Martin Place.

It sure has - now really showing without Kochie there.

However, I still think the studio is better, and lighter, than Today’s set (particularly the main desk area)

Need to bring back the plants that were originally featured

Internally, yes its a lot better to work with. But from a visual point, Martin Place looked far better on screen.

It sure did - especially when there was an emphasis on using the plaza, interacting with the audience, outdoor concerts, windows showing the city coming to life each day.

Now it’s pretty much the same as Today (apart from presenters of course)

Unfortunately, in 2024 this is very difficult to do now.

Sad, but true

With Hurricane Milton expected to make landfall tomorrow around 9am/10am i wonder if Sunrise/Today will extend into the late morning?

This would be great, but, there’s probably a reason why she moved back to Sydney rather than Brisbane. I believe her husband is originally from Sydney.

Wow. When was the last time this happened?

Possibly a long time ago with Telethon back in the day - around the late 2000s probably.
