MKR ratings in free fall.

Sunday Night Takeaway flat as a tack like Hughesy.

#4

Takeaway has no chance of finding an audience against MAFS… maybe it would be better on a Saturday night in the old HHIS slot?

MKR numbers will drop further now that group challenges have begun, it’s the least popular part of the show.
It’s a shame Takeaway’s ratings fell because it was a better episode last night.

While 10 had some early success launching Celeb in January, the result of that was then having to launch a number of other shows several weeks into Nine and Seven’s reality franchise runs - which you would have to conclude has been an unmitigated disaster for them.

Terrible night for Ten… move Takeaway to Saturday or maybe don’t put it up against MAFS biggest episode of the week. give takeaway a chance at least.

Seven must be thanking their stars that Ten is in such a mess, if it wasn’t the microscope would be on them big time. Awful number for MKR

I’m actually surprised that MKR is above 700K, even though it’s already past the highest rating Instant Restaurant stages. If they can hold that figure then it’s at least stable.

SNT continues to fall away and kills Hughesy in the process. MAFS still going good (and proves that Australians are beyond help in terms of TV viewing).

Such a shame to see Sunday Night Takeaway struggle. I thought last night was a big improvement - they cut out a couple of segments that didn’t work the previous week and it finished pretty much on time. Sadly I don’t think there’s much Ten can do in that timeslot across the week until MAFS ends. Ten gave Celeb viewers too much of an opportunity to try out other shows with that gap and silly programming decisions.

I watched the show and thought the show was much improved. I can’t help but think if the show was on Seven or Nine it would rate higher. People just don’t like 10 in general these days.

Takeaway isn’t working on any level for Ten. It is losing numbers from the lead in and the demos are just as bad as total people.

SBS coded the Mardi Gras into 2 segments that ranked 31st and 41st, better than last year. Overwhelmingly a Sydney event, Part 1 ranked 20th there. Worst market was Perth where it was 151st.

Today trailed Sunrise by 80,000.

How sad for Nine when their primetime is dominating while their breakfast figures are languishing. Reminiscent of Channel 7 circa 2016.

#13

How is it free fall? It was 751,000 last Sunday and 740,000 Wednesday. Consistently bad against MAFS is more like it.

Or maybe they have no interest in watching 90 minutes of :poop:

#14

Another fail for Ten News At 6pm in Sydney and Melbourne. Why do they keep doing this to themselves?

#15

It probably still rates better than most of primetime. Better than whatever crap they will be dishing up at 6pm (aka. David Attenborough here in Adelaide, no offence to him, but his show just won’t rate)

#16

And people are calling for a 6pm bulletin on weeknights to solve all their problems. :joy:

It is the lowest rating of the season and/or ever right?

Second lowest. There was a 709,000 a couple of weeks ago.

Vera did well for ABC. I can recommend it if you’re looking for a good drama, although is another one of those UK crime/mystery.

In such a scenario, I don’t think SNT would perform better such as it would be ‘viable’ ratings-wise.

The Australian FTA audience has demonstrated over the past decade that (aside from a few exceptions) they’re interested in nothing but reality shows - that in itself will be a major problem for the TV industry if/when the reality popularity ‘bubble’ bursts

#21

It was a great new episode always enjoy this series.
